Appearance
Before her transformation, Ascentia was a pure-white horse with blue eyes. After her transformation, Ascentia gained wings and a horn. She was also seemingly enlarged, although this wasn't very obvious.

In the story
Ascentia was the first playable character obtained by the player in the first chapter, Earth. She was defeated by Qilin and absorbed by Sephiroth in the third chapter, Antipathy, but was resurrected after Sephiroth was defeated.

Outside of the story
Ascentia is a winged unicorn kaiju who first appeared in the film(?), Ascentia. The first film showcases her transformation and her bond with Meiko Yukihira, a teenage girl who befriended her while she was still an ordinary animal.

The second and third films, Ascentia vs. Winterwolf and Ascentia vs. Southwyvern, showcased her combat capabilities, as well as her ability to enter Solar Flare form if she absorbs enough energy from the sun, which greatly increases her overall power.

Additional Information
• As Godzilla's replacement, Ascentia has a few similarities to him:
-They were both transformed into Kaiju due to nuclear energy.
-She also has a light beam attack.
-Similarly to Godzilla in Replay, Ascentia has a base form and a Kaiju form, and they both transformed into Kaiju in the first world of the game.
• Ascentia was loosely inspired by the Alicorns from the My Little Pony (MLP) franchise. In MLP, Alicorns are winged unicorns. Ponies can obtain this form through achieving great feats, and gain great power in this form.
• The name Ascentia comes from "ascend", which is connected to the fact that she can fly, as well as the fact that she "ascended" to a higher form in the beginning of the story.
• When Sephiroth absorbed Ascentia, he transformed into a winged unicorn, but retained the blue body color and plague doctor mask that he had in all of his forms.
