Emiko's POV
"Today we will work on chakra control and focus." Pein said as I arrived at the training grounds. Today, it was different from the rest- it had a rocky terrain with mountains in the background. I could hear a waterfall in the background. I looked up, at the sky, which was bright from the morning sun. It was a beautiful day. If only we could go to a beach or something...
"Hey Pein?" I asked. He turned to face me, and looked down with emotionless eyes.
"Yes?"
"Can I call you Ninjin Man?" I giggled, covering my mouth with my hand. He glared at me, unimpressed with my attitude.
"You are aware of the fact that Ninjin is Japanese for carrot?"
"Yup, but you told me not to call you Carrot Man, so therefore I can call you Ninjin Man!" I exclaimed nudging him with my elbow. This time I had outsmarted him, I thought and smirked.
"No."
"What do you mean 'no'?"
"I mean no nicknames." He said calmly.
"Ugh you're so boring sometimes!" I exclaimed flailing my arms around. He scoffed. What a douchebag- doesn't understand a simple joke.
"Let's get started."
"Okay!" He sat down, his legs crossed. I copied his stance.
"Okay, try to focus your chakra in your hand. Like this." He said as he closed his eyes focusing his chakra in the palm of his hand, a blue aura started covering the surface.
"Sure, that's easy!" I bragged, closing my eyes and tried to focus. Key word: tried. In truth I had problems focusing, I couldn't sit still for more than a minute without having to fiddle with something or being in action, even just tapping my fingers. I'm pretty sure it's some kind of disorder. I cracked one eye open... and... nothing!
"Ugh!" I let out a frustrated sigh. Who would think that simply focusing chakra is so difficult.
"Try again." Pein commanded.
I closed my eyes and focused again. I opened my eyes to see a huge blue layer of chakra. When I say huge, I mean huge. It covered my whole hand, wrist and a quarter of my arm. It swirled confidently in multiple tints of blue. It didn't burn me, however it felt relatively warm.
"Yes!" I exclaimed jumping up, subsiding the chakra until they vanished. Suddenly I started feeling dizzy, as if someone had drained every drop of water out of me. My knees started wobbling and they gave way. I fell, face first onto the ground, quickly shutting my eyes. Dirt entered my mouth. I could feel the grains on my tongue and I tried to spit it out.
"Emiko, are you feeling alright?" Pein sounded concerned. I turned my head around to face him, my eyes half open. My vision was blurry, and disorientated as I tried to make out his expression.
His eyes widened. "That's impossible..." He muttered to himself.
"Wha-" I didn't get to finish the sentence as my body went numb. Suddenly I found myself tasting dirt again and looked up at Pein, a troubled expression on his face as he walked towards me. Then I blacked out.
**Time Skip**
"Are you sure it was the Rinnegan?" I heard a faint voice ask.
"Positive." Another voice confirmed. I opened my eyes only to see a bright light. I groaned and shut my eyes again. I was still lying in the training grounds.
"Ugh, what happened?" I groaned sitting up rubbing my head. I had the worst headache, it was even worse then the time I got a sugar high. And before you ask, yes it is possible to get high on cake. Talking from experience.
