Arriving on set

I arrive at set for the first day of production for season 18. Im so excited for another season of greys. This season is going to be different for me and Ellen (Meredith Grey) as we get to film with a different set of actors in a different location.

We get given our scripts and im instantly shocked. Im given a new love interest!And Amelia is gay? Im not quite sure what to say. Im frantically reading through the script to see if theres any mention of Link and Amelias relationship. Theres not.

— 2 weeks later —

We have had our scripts for around 2 weeks now so we can start to learn our lines. Today is the first day that we start shooting with the new cast. Im nervous, i've already seen everyone on zoom calls but never in person. Theres so many things going through my head im excited but also very nervous. What if we dont get on, its going to make my job so much harder.

I walk onto set and lay my eyes on E.R. Fightmaster (Kai Bartley). They look sweet this should be fun.

They walk over to me "hey your Caterina right?"

"haha yeah thats me, so you must be my new love interest?" I say jokingly as i'm not amelia.

"That I am!" E.R. exclaims.

I catch myself checking them out. Ive known them for two seconds what am I doing. Plus im not even gay I think to myself. "Great to meet you!"

"you too" They walk off to meet the other cast members.

Im left standing there thinking about if we would be friends. Im sure we would be, they seem really nice. Im so glad it wasnt awkward.

-E.R.'s pov

She seemed nice. I got the feeling that she was nervous, thats normal though right. She was also like really pretty, i'm glad that i don't have to make out with someone ugly I think to myself.

— later on —

-Caterina's pov

Me and Ellen have already filmed some of the scenes in Minnesota and its our first scene with E.R. I have this weird feeling in my stomach as if i'm anxious even though we have already been introduced.

The stage directions say to have Amelia and Meredith walking into a room with the robot arm that does cell culture. The script then has some general conversation for the characters. While this is going on the director says to have Amelia and Kai look into each others eyes and smile while acting normal maybe throw in some blushing too, just basically act shocked and delighted at the sight of each other.

I realise while filming this scene that I don't have to act too much as this is automatically happening and i'm not quite sure how to stop it. But of course its perfect for the scenes.
