Getting to know eachother

-E.R's pov

I invite Caterina out for dinner, just me and her because I think it would be good to get to know each other away from work. I may have also developed a tiny crush on her but i'm hoping its just me still in character.

Me and Caterina are at dinner and i'm really enjoying it. I caught her looking into my eyes, and I get butterflies but then she looks away in a hurry acting like she got caught.

-Caterina's pov

We are out for dinner and its just me and E.R. Im not even hungry but I accepted the invitation anyway. They ordered the steak and I ordered the spaghetti. Its the type of fancy restaurant where they have a bread basket on the table. Im not sure why they chose such a fancy restaurant but it's nice.

We both get a bottle of red wine to share. I let them choose the wine because im very indecisive.

"Can we get this wine" they say pointing to the menu to the waiter. "I was not about to try and pronounce that ha, its nice though i've had it before"

"okay ill be the judge of that" I laugh

The food comes and its alot. Im sat there staring at the food like its going to jump out at me.

"hey is everything okay" they chuckle

"yeah its alot thats all haha"

The waiter comes back over with the parmesan and the wine on a silver tray. They place the wine down inbetween us and set the wine glasses. They then pour the wine in such a sophisticated way that makes me question what im going to do next.

The waiter then asks "would you like some parmesan with your spaghetti?"

"yes please" I nodded with excitement.

"okay tell me when to stop" they say.

I look at the waiter as they have a concern on their face. "keep going if thats not a problem" I say awkwardly.

They carry on with a tired look implying all their customers do this but they try to please everyone.

"Stop, thank you" I finally say after what felt like an eternity.

I finally look over to E.R. as the waiter leaves "I like cheese okay". I say smiling

"no I totally get it, I would've had more than you" They say trying to reassure me

We both finally finish our food and I have lots left over.

They notice "hey are you going to finish that".

Me wondering if they want to finish it for me or something and me wanting to please them "no haha i'm full, this place was really nice though"

They politely ask the waiter over "hey sorry to bother you, do you mind grabbing us a take out box".

The waiter comes back with the box and the bill, before I can say anything E.R. hands the waiter their card.

"You didn't have to do that" I say politely.

"Its my treat" they say generously.

"okay well I will repay you somehow" I laugh.

They have lovely manners which pleases me, I think to myself as its not hard to have good manners. I get butterflies, i'm not sure why they keep giving me butterflies all the time but it needs to stop I can't be having feelings for my co-workers.

After the meal they took me on a walk and then we sat beside a small river. They know the best spots. We are having great conversation and I never want it to end.

-E.R.'s pov

I realise its gotten quite late, we'd both gotten carried away. "Oh god look at the time" I say trying not to be rude "we should probably go, we have to be up early to film tomorrow".

"yeah your right, i'm really glad we got to do this it was so great getting to know you thank you" Caterina says

We both walk to the road as I get my phone out to get an uber.

"I've already got an uber" Caterina says as if she has read my mind

I feel myself blushing because it makes me happy that we had the same thought.
