Walk

—20 mins later—

I knock on their trailer "hey" I said nervously after my long night.

"hey, how are you" they ask while stepping out of their trailer. They said it in a way that seems like they are actually interested in how I am and not just in a way to start conversation.

" I'm so great" I say, directly after I said that I ask my-self why I didn't just say i'm good.

"thats good, how did u sleep?" they say in a caring voice. I smile, they have no idea.

"why whats so funny... did u do something dirty?" they say while giggling to themself.

"what no haha I just had a long night" I say, maybe they thought I was taken i'm not sure but oh well they can think what they want.

"how was your night?" I ask because they asked me and I kinda wanna know what they do in their spare time.

"I practiced my guitar for a bit but I fell asleep"

"you play guitar?" I ask acting interested knowing the answer.

"yeah I play piano as-well" they saying with a big smile on their face. I could tell its something they really enjoyed. They continue "im in a band called Twin with Mike Aviles"

"I will have to listen to your songs" I say having already done so.

"Thank you we don't have many listeners but I like it for the music and not for the listeners" They say so I dont judge.

"Thats the right attitude" I remind them. By this point we have reached the coffee stand and get in line. "whats your order?"

"why?"

"just wondering" I say with a smile.

"I get a large black coffee and before you judge I LOAD it full of sugar, which may be unhealthy but its just how I like it. I mean I do get other types of coffee sometimes but i'm feeling like a black coffee today" They say rambling.

"That wouldn't be my choice but each to their own I guess" I laugh.

We get to the front of the line and they let me order first. "Hey can I get a large latte and a large black coffee please"

"you didn't have to get mine" they say while we both move towards the waiting queue.

"no its okay u got food last night so I will get coffee a couple times" I say smiling.

"okay if u insist" They say.

"a large black coffee and a large latte for katrina" The person at the coffee stand says totally mis-pronouncing my name

"thats me!" I respond anyway. Many people mis-pronounce caterina as katrina so im used to it by now.

Me and E.R. head over to the sugar table and I see the amount of sugar they put into their coffee.

They see me watching in astonishment"I told you I put alot in I wasn't joking"

"I thought u we're exaggerating but clearly not" I say while trying to hold back the giggles trying not to seem judgemental.

-E.R.'s pov

"Thank you for the coffee it was well needed" I say. I start uncontrollably doing that weird smile that happens when you try not to be weird and smile.

"Its really no problem" She says with a smile.

We start walking over to set with our coffees and I notice whats shes wearing. Its a tight top and high denim shorts which makes her look amazing and really hot. I really need to stop with this. It does makes me think that maybe she did this for me because she normally turns up to set in a hoodie and baggy bottoms. Im thinking too much into it of course she didn't do this for me, I could only wish.

We are walking in silence while drinking our coffees but its the type of slience that isn't awkward just peaceful but I want to make conversation.

"what do you think about amelia and kai's relationship?" she asks like she read my mind.

"I think its quite special that theres this representation that comes from the relationship and not only that but it also brings awareness to non-binary people and it can educate many parents about the lgbtq+ community while watching with the kids" I say as if I was talking to the press. "Sorry i've just spoken to you as if your press". I say to make sure she knows im not just passing her off with a practiced answer.

-Caterina's pov

"Yeah I totally agree with you and I especially think its great because Amelia has been just another straight character throughout the whole series and now shes with Kai, and although her sexuality hasn't been defined I think its good for anyone questioning their sexuality or recently discovered things about them selves they haven't realised before, god now its sounding like we are interviewing each other" I say laughing. before realising i've just described myself in there without knowing.

I nod to agree with what shes saying as we both sip our coffees. I hope that she was describing herself when she said recently discovered things but probably not.
