*NO ONES POV*
Finn and y/n were complete opposites..but maybe that why they're such good friends. Y/n was a social, outgoing Cheerleader who was very popular and had lots of friends. But Finney on the other hand was quiet,shy and antisocial.
They had been best friends since they were 3 and have never left each other side. They knew everything about each other.
Finney didn't speak much which resulted in him only having two friends which were Robin Arellano and Y/n L/n. Ever since y/n had become one of the popular kids Robin and Finn had thought that she would leave them to hang out with everyone else but them, but instead she was still there with them almost every second of the school day, she was still their y/n.
She wasn't one of those typical girls that go around acting like they own the place. She wouldn't push people around because they weren't like her and she would never start a fight, but if someone says anything to her two best friends then she is definitely not going down without a fight. Normally she doesn't really get violent for Robin because he knows how to stand up for himself, But when it comes to Finney..oh boy she wouldn't stop fighting the person who hurt Him until she sees their face covered in blood.
Y/n was always caring, she always let Finn and Gwen stay at her house if their dad was being a shithead. She would always help Robin with math if he didn't understand it, She would always help Finn if anybody was saying or doing anything to him and she would always do Gwen's hair or nails when she felt sad. Wherever she went she had a smile on her face, but what everybody didn't know..was that y/n had her own problems going on.
Y/N's pov:
I was walking to school and I saw Finn and Gwen in-front of me on their way to school. "Hey guys" I said from behind them. "Jeez Y/n you scared me" finney laughed "sorry im just excited" I responded with a smile.
"Excited for what" Gwen asked "Ohh boy" Finn mumbled with a little smirk showing me that he was joking. "Well today is the day where me and my cheer team are going to do our dance infront of the whole entire school." I said dramatically "not the whole school y/n just everybody in our grade" Finn commented. "Yeah, okay but that is still a lot of people" I responded.
I was talking so much that I didn't realise that we were at school now "well see you guys I have to go get ready for the dance" "Okay good luck y/n" Gwen responded.
*in the changing rooms*
"Alright ladies" Our cheer captain shouted "today is the day where we are going to impress everybody" while our captain was speaking my friend April (If your name is April then you can change the name if you like) spoke to me.
"Hey y/n can you tie my hair up please I can't see from the back" she asked. "Yeah of course I responded while tying her hair into a ponytail for her. "There you go" I said kindly while sitting back down "cool thanks y/n" she said.
After a few minutes it was our turn to go out. I was really nervous, "introducing the cheerleaders!!" A voice said. This is us.
We all walked out with a smile on our faces and started our dance routine. I could feel my stomach hurt from how nervous I was, I looked in the crowd and saw Finney and Robin. They gave me a reassuring smile and a thumbs up.
Now it was time. I walked into the middle and two boys behind me that went by the names 'rafe' and 'Clyde" picked me up and threw me into the air and I did a flip (she has tights on guys 💀) and landed right in their arms. I let out a relieved sigh and sat down with the rest of the girls.
*After school*
I was walking home with Finney and remembered something "hey can I stay at your house tonight my parents aren't gonna be there and I hate being home alone" I asked "yea of course but it will just be us because My dads on a business trip and Gwen sleeps at her friends house on Fridays." He responded.
Once we got there we went into his room and I went into the bathroom to change into Finneys hoodie and Sweatpants. "Let's watch a movie" I suggested while walking into his room, "Sure".
*A few hours later*
We sat on the couch and watched comedy movies. "I'll be right back" I whispered while getting up. He just nodded and went back to watching the TV.
I walked into The bathroom and locked it. I leaned my hands on the sink and stared at myself in the mirror, I immediately broke down into tears and slid down the wall, I couldn't help it..this is the first time I've even cried this month.
After a few minutes I heard a knock on the door.
"Y/n are you okay" it was finney..shit. "Y-yeah everything is fine" I said with a shaky voice. "Are you sure..can I come in" he silently asked. There was no point in saying I was fine when I clearly was not.
I slowly reached up and unlocked the door. He came in with a look of worry, "Hey what's wrong?" He asked while coming down to my level, he put my head on his chest "talk to me" he said softly "everything..it's so much pressure just to be me" I spoke through tears. "I have to smile every single second of the day and I always have to do things for everyone else..I never really have time to focus on myself, my parents are never around either and when the Actually are it's like I'm invisible to them, all they pay attention to is my stupid brother who's in college." I broke down
"It's okay..it's okay" he said into my ear "come on let's get you to bed" we both got up and walked to his bedroom,once I got in the bed he went to go to the couch in the living room. "Finn" I whispered "yeah" he turned around "can you stay with me" I asked. "Okay" he replied while coming over and getting in the bed, I hugged him and thanked him for being there for me "I will always be here for you y/n" he kissed my forehead and then sleep took over me.
