No ones POV:
Finney and Y/n had been dating for about 7 months now. Y/n could see that Finn was losing interest in her. He was falling for Donna, a popular and kind girl who was in their grade.
Y/n had called Finn over to her house because she wanted to talk to him about something. When he arrived, they were both sitting on her bed while y/n picked at her finger nails.
She wanted to run away from this situation. She wanted to run and feel the burning go throughout her lungs. So she could clear her head, y/n wasn't sure if anybody would ever know what she meant.
She sighed "Finney. I can't be what you need...I am a star, in a dream. I am a star, in a dream. But not in yours. Donnas the star of your dreams..." a single tear came out of her eye.
"Y/n-" Finney started but he was cut off by Y/n "And I respect that. Don't you know, she's been here all along. In a dream. She belongs in your dreams" Y/n was referring to Donna.
Y/n had a shattered heart and it was as if Finney watched her fall apart. She really loved him and when they would mess around Finn had let her know the truth he found in his own hopeless hate.
They both exchanged a few more words and it was mostly y/n saying about how Finney can love who he wants and Finn was saying how sorry he was to y/n for falling out of love with her.
As he left the house, Y/n was in her room quietly sobbing about the situation. Finn felt relieved but also guilty because he had broken her heart. Y/n felt absolutely heartbroken.
'"Did I make a mistake?" They both thought to themselves.
