~1St Person POV~
Ghost, Soap , and I were in gear and loaded up in the plane. It had been a few hours since we had left. I was shaking my leg due to the fact that I was getting nervous. The pilot had yelled out to us that we would be landing soon. Soap had taken notice to my nervousness and placed a hand on my thigh, gently rubbing it.
"Don't be nervous Bonnie, we'll be fine." He said, having a warm smile on his face. I nodded and adjusted my mask onto my face. I took a few deep breaths and stood up. The plane had just landed and we were about to meet Colonel Vargas. Soap gave me a quick fist bump and Ghost a pat on the shoulder. Ghost was obviously not amused with it but let it slide.
As we stepped out of the base, I took a quick look around before following Soap and Ghost down to greet Colonel Vargas. He had greeted us with a warm smile. Soap was the first to greet him. "Alejandro!" Alejandro approached us and shook hands with soap." Sergeant MacTavish!".
"Call me Soap." After they greeted Alejandro looked back at Ghost " Lieutenant! Laswell says they call you Ghost." Soap had looked over at ghost and back at Alejandro " Actually I believe he prefers to be-" He was then interrupted by an irritated ghost "That'll Do!". Alejandro looked back at me and shook my hand "It's nice to see you Angel." I shook his hand gently before nodding to him "Nice to see you too Al." Alejandro then explained to us where we were going and got us loaded into one of the cars. He introduced the boys to Rodolfo as we drove off to Las Almas to get to the place where Hassan was being held at.
As we drove into town, I slightly leaned against Soap, wanting to admire the beautiful murals that had been painted on the walls of the buildings. Soap had taken notice and just allowed me to lean against him so I could see. As we sat there , Soap had noticed a truck with people carrying firearms. He had placed his hand on his gun and leaned against the door "White truck, four armed in the back" Alejandro noticed and looked back at him "Hey - tranquiló. Easy, that's normal here.". He had to explain that guns were jurisdiction of the police. Ghost had spoken up "Where are the police?".
Alejandro looked back at him and sighed "Well, Las Almas has a very serious problem. There are few here to uphold the law. And many of those who resist corruption...disappear." He had told us that soldiers were recruited by the narcos because they were well trained. "Why not you?" Ghost had questioned. Alejandro looked over at Rodolfo "We grew up here. They call us Los Vaqueros...Cowboys. We love this place. And we will die fighting for it." As we had passed little shops and buildings , we saw Narcos selling balloons to kids. Soap scoffed and looked out the window "Kids, guns, and balloons. That's a new one."
"Narcos use generosity to win over the people". Soap had a confused look on his face "Even the children?". Rodolfo had nodded and spoke "Especially the children." We continued the drive and pulled up next to an alley, which had bodies covered up by blankets. The blankets had writings on them. Alejandro told us they were Narcomantas (Cartel Cloths) and the writings were warnings. As Alejandro mentioned El Sin Nombre ghost furrowed his eyebrows "Who's Sin Nombre?"
"El Sin Nombre, the leader of the Las Almas Cartel." Soap had sat up straight "Where can we find him?" Alejandro shrugged and looked forward "You can't, no one knows who he is. But he is everywhere. And this is a challenge, but Los Vaqueros like challenges." Rudy took the opportunity to look back at ghost and I "With your masks, you and Ghost will fit in well here." We both shot glares at Rudy before Alejandro nudged him. On our way down the road, we saw the army up ahead and Alejandro had Rudy take a right, wanting to avoid being seen by the army. " Some troops are in the pocket of El Sin Nombre. Like I told you, he is everywhere."
When we reached the end of town, we stopped by this brick fence and Alejandro had all of us , along with his soldiers, get out of the trucks. "Todos victors , Están listos. 3, 2, 1... Entra Entra!"
