Bind Them

Akima's POV

We were planning on how to attack when Neytiri appears with Jake and Grace. Guess they were let back into the link pods, but why? And why were they yucked out in the first place? Guess we're about to find out. "Eytukan, I have something to say, to everyone" Jake states in Na'vi.

"Speak Jake Sully" Eytukan tells him in English.

"A great evil is upon us. The Sky People are coming to destroy Home tree. They will be here soon" Jake states. I share a look with Aries as he wraps his arms around me. As a murmur of fear and anger goes through the crowd. "You have to leave, or you will die" he adds.

"Are you certain of this?" Mo'at asks.

"They sent me here to learn your ways. So one day I could bring this message, and you would believe it" he states. I growl lowly.

"What are you saying, Jake? You knew this would happen?" Neytiri asks him. He can't look her in the eye as he says 'yes'.

"How could you do this Jake?" I demand. "The Omaticaya have been nothing but good to us. And you knew the sky people planned on attacking their home and remain silent?" I snap.

"At first it was just orders. Then everything changed. I fell in love with the forest, with the Omaticaya People" he explains. Before looking at Neytiri. "With you. And by then, how could I tell you?" he asks her.

Neytiri can barely breathe. She is shaking with the enormity of it, her voice cracking with rage and pain. "I trusted you!" she exclaims.

"Trust me, now. Please" he pleads trying to calm her.

"Kawkrr! Ke slayu nga Na'viyä hapxì!" Neytiri shouts in Na'vi. (Translation: You will never be one of the people). "You will never be one of the people!" she repeats in English shoving him away from her.

"He tried to stop them" Grace states.

"Why didn't you say anything?" I demand glaring at her. She remains silent head bowed.

"Neytiri please" Jake pleads.

"Kawkrr Na'viyä, Kawkrr!" she shouts in Na'vi as Mo'at goes to her. (Translation: Never of The People, never!).

"What are your orders clan leader?" I ask Eytukan.

"Mefoti yìm" he orders. (Translation: bind them.) They grab Jake, who doesn't resist. Others seize Grace. Both are driven to their knees, and their arms bound. "Akima, you knew not of this?" he asks me.

"I knew nothing, I swear it on the head of my unborn baby" I tell him. He nods believing me as Grace and Jake are lead outside. Tsu'tey came to congratulate Aries and I before follow them. I look at Neytiri. "Go, have the pride turn" I tell Aries and he nods his head. He kisses my forehead before leaving. I head over to Neytiri.

"Why?" she asks me as she fights back tears.

"I do not know Neytiri, but know I will protect the people until the day I die" I tell her.

"It hurts" she tells me and I hug her.

"Your mate betrayed us all, I would be surprised if you were not hurting" I tell her. "But things will get better, we will defeat the sky people and send them back to their dying world" I state. I pull away. "Lets go join the others" I tell her. She nods her head. We go outside.

I see Grace and Jake being lashed to posts in front of home tree. "Akima, how are you here if you aren't in a link pod?" Jake asks me.

"You really think I'd tell a traitor like you?" I ask with a sneer. "How could you betray these people Jake? After everything they've done for us?" I ask him.

"I'm sorry" he states.

"To late for apologies now" I state as Aries and the pride appear. "My love" I say patting his head and he chaffs happily.

"They work for the Omaticaya?" Jake asks shocked.

"You could say that" I state and turn. "How long until they arrive?" I ask him.

"We were given an hour to get everyone out" he states.

"Aries prepare the pride, we shall hide in the trees and attack from above" I tell him through our link. He nods his head and they leave. I look at Grace and Jake. "Grace I am sorry it has to be this way. But you leave us no choice" I state. "It will be quick" I assure them.

"Akima, the pride?" Eytukan asks me.

"Are in position, I am going to go join them" I state.

"Mo'at wishes to see you first" he tells me. I nod and go to her. She is with Neytiri.

"May I?" she asks gesturing to my stomach. I nod and she touches it with her hands. Feeling it and smiles. "Your baby is strong" she states.

"Are you sure you should fight?" Neytiri asks me.

"I will fight, even if I was farther along. I would still fight to defend our people" I tell her. She nods her head. "I must join the pride" I add and she nods. I turn into a palulukan and join my pride. We lay in wait, waiting for the sky people to arrive.
