Officially two weeks left of school.

Tonights actually girls night, since Eddie's playing DnD. Robin, Nance and I decided it would be fun to have movie night. Feels good to actually take a night where I don't have to lie to anyone.

"Can you please pick something normal?" Nancy whines as we walk the shelves on family video.

"Nance I'm not watching the same sappy rom-com you always pick." I argue picking up movies that look semi interesting, scoffing at the ones that don't.

"Come on, what about this one. It just came out." She holds up a movie case.

I squint to read to title, scoffing. "Pretty in Pink is definitely a rom-com, no." I walk away, still eyeing the shelves.

"Sixteen-"

I cut her off immediately. "No. What is up with you and Molly Ringwald?" I stare at her through the gap in the shelves.

"She is a treasure." She scoffs.

"Of course you think that." I say rolling my eyes; laughing.

Jesus.

"Figure anything out yet?" Robin says from behind the counter.

"Yes. Nance has an unhealthy obsession with Molly Ringwald." I say in faux concern.

"No, you just don't have good taste." Nancy counters.

"Excuse me, I happen to have great taste. NIghtmare on Elm Street, Children of Corn, Christine." I count on my fingers before crossing my arms over my chest.

"All horror movies." Nancy whines again. "That's not good taste, that's insanity."

"I can't help you weren't allowed to watch them Nance." I add, pushing out my bottom lip, faux pouting at her.

"Jesus, shut up." Robin rubs her temples with her fingers. "Ghostbusters, Pretty in Pink, and Nightmare on Elm Street. Deal?" She huffs.

"Fine." I groan rolling my eyes. I move past Nancy squinting my eyes at her.

"Fine." Nancy mutters. I pluck all the movies off the shelve and go to the counter for Robin to ring them up.

After she's done she excuses herself to clock out, Nance and I wait for her at the door. She hurries out of the backroom and we leave jogging to my car. I drive a few buildings down stopping at the pizza place. I park in a spot hesitating to get out. We all shoot each other a glance before I put my finger on my nose. Robin following quickly behind me before Nancy gets a chance.

"I got it." Nancy scoffs getting out and running in to grab our food. Robin and I giggle at each other.

"How you doing, Mad?" Robin moves to lean over the center console. She can read on my face that I'm not okay and haven't been.

"With what?" I reach into my glove box to pull out the pack of cigarettes Eddie left for me.

"Stanford." She simply states.

"I don't know, Rob." I mutter, lighting to cigarette between my lips.

"Are you going?" She asks.

"Yeah, I think so... Just struggling with how and when I'm going to tell Eddie." I sigh. "Every time he talks about New York I feel like I'm going to puke." I wince. "Everytime he asks if I've decided I freeze and have to come up with some bullshit lie."

"I know this is going to sound like a worn out record, but you need to tell him soon." She says. "At this point you're only hurting yourself more by keeping it from him."
