[Jungwon]
He stares at the sleeping face in his lap in silent disbelief. He's careful not to let any negative emotions play on his face because of the servant situated inside the sitting room, but it's getting harder to maintain his composure as Sunghoon breathes evenly on his lap.
Is he seriously asleep?
"Oh, did he fall asleep?" Jay asks as he stands up to investigate. The others are peeking curiously from their seats as well.
"That doesn't look very comfortable," Jake comments.
Jungwon sighs and runs his hand on the Crown Prince's hair, trying to wake him slowly. This is not the time nor the place to fall asleep. And he's the one who told Jungwon he needed to be attended for a meeting.
"Prince, wake up," he calls softly, keeping his exasperation from his voice. He figures it might seem... inappropriate to call the Crown Prince by his name with the servant around despite doing so previously. He did not miss the way the servant eyed him earlier when he did so.
Sunghoon merely lets out a small sound of indication that he heard and then turns to bury his face back to the younger's thigh. "You have a meeting in an hour, you said so yourself," Jungwon adds.
The Crown Prince doesn't respond but tightens his arms around Jungwon's waist. The younger sighs in defeat. If they are alone, he would've pulled the other's hair until he starts moving.
Unfortunately, such actions will probably send him to the mines. He pets the soft hair instead.
"Enough with this love scene," Prince Ni-ki suddenly announces, earning everyone's attention. "Sunghoon, if I attend the meeting in your behalf, will you spare us low lives from your blatant display of affection?"
Jake chokes on his tea and starts coughing, startling Sunoo in the process who immediately moves away and ends up splashing his own tea to Ni-ki.
"Oh my-" Sunoo gasps.
"The Saints must be against me," the youngest prince groans. Sunoo is torn between looking horrified and happy at the incident.
"Must be your goddamn attitude," Jay responds as he rubs Jake on the back to ease his coughing. "I'll attend the meeting with you," he adds to Prince Ni-ki's direction.
Heeseung nods and stands. "I'll escort you two."
The Royal Captain goes around the table to check on the Crown Prince, careful not to disturb him.
"He's really in deep sleep," Heeseung says softly and then looks to Jungwon. "Looks like we'll have to postpone the dungeon visit."
Jungwon tries not be disappointed. As Sunghoon's lover, he can't just exactly stand and leave.
"Yes, I'm afraid so," he responds. "Can I still look forward to that another time?"
"Of course. If I'm not in the training grounds, you may approach me any time," Heeseung assures and Jungwon nods his thanks.
"Shall we move him to my bed instead?" Jay asks. They all turn to the sleeping prince.
His current position is not exactly ideal for sleeping. He'll wake up with aching body parts if he continues to assume the same position for hours. But no one exactly wants to wake him. Jungwon would, though his process may be drastic.
"I think we may have to leave the room lest we wake him," Sunoo suggests softly.
"I'm being exiled in my own territory," Jay laments.
"We could stay to finish the tea, and ruin our appetites as we watch the lovebirds," Ni-ki suggests.
"We're hardly doing anything," Jungwon glowers at the younger prince, feeling the need to defend themselves. Yes, Sunghoon is clingy as hell but it's nothing indecent. How could one's appetite get ruined for being in their presence?
