"What?" I asked low key blushing, he shook his head plastering his usual smirk on his face. I walked to the register and the lady rung up my stuff
"$982.79 cents" she said and I handed her my card but Trell snatched it out her hand and stuffed it in his wallet then gave her his card
"Youn listen" he shook his head then took his card back from the lady after she swiped it "leggo" he grabbed my bags and walked out of the store "where to next?" He asked and I shrugged not really caring "im done so I guess we ca go. It's gettin hot in dis mask anyway" he shifted his ski mask and adjusted his sunglasses then grabbed my hand leading us to his car
"I got it" I told him as he tried to open the door for me but he slapped my hand away and still opened it for me "thank you" I thanked him then he ran over to his side jumping in
"Where you wanna go?" He asked and I shrugged laying the chair back
"Pick somewhere" he said taking off his glasses and mask
"Your house I'm sleepy" I told him then closed my eyes tryna go to sleep
"Really Lani? Dis our last day up hea, why youn wan do nun?" He asked and I shrugged
"Maybe because I'm tired" I said in a duh tone
"Sum wrong witchu?" He asked flipping his hand over on my forehead
"No" I said swatting his hand away
"It gotta be if yo ass talkin ta me like dat" he said then sped outta the parking lot heading to his house

"Bae" Trell called out to me as I was stretched out on the couch in the den watching tv wit 3Three and Joe but I ignored him continuing to watch tv "Bae" he called again sounding closer than before
"Youn hea Yb callin you?" Montana asked as he came out the kitchen and sat on the couch
"He not calling me" I told him, he was finna say something but Trell walked in
"You ain't hea me callin you?" He asked standing in front of me
"No because you didn't call my name" I told him and he sucked his teeth
"I called you "Bae" Whatchu mean?" He asked scrunching up his face
"That's not my name, my name is Kehlani. I tell you over and over and that we not together but it never seems to click in your head so imma just ignore you when you call me that" I made very clear, he looked mad. He sucked his teeth and stomped up the stairs. I looked around to see them shaking they head at me
"What?" I asked then heard a door slam
"Why you treat him like that?" Joe asked and I looked at him confused
"Like what?" I asked and he looked at me like I was dumb
"You can obviously see dat he want you so why you keep curving him?" 3Three asked and I shrugged
"I don't wanna get in a relationship with him right now maybe later on but not now, I'm not finna be a repeat of all his other girlfriends" I told them and they sucked they teeth
"He already told you dat wasn't his intentions so why youn give him a chance ta prove it ta you?" Montana asked, how should I put this without sounding too harsh
"Why would I date him if his girlfriend has no clue I'm with him right now. I would feel some type of way if I was her. If he doing it to her what makes you think he won't do it to me?" I asked and they went quiet for a few seconds "my point exactly" I shook my head
"It ain't even like dat Kehlani, he lost interest in ha a long time ago but he don't wan be lonely so he keep ha round. Once you say you down ta be wit him then he gon drop ha in a snap of a finger" Montana explained like that's gonna make it better
"And what if he does the same thing to me when he loses interest?" I asked and he sucked his teeth
"He ain't gon neva lose interest in you" Joe mumbled then Montana slapped the back of his neck causing him to mug him
"Why you always finding da bad in everything I say?" Montana asked and I shrugged
"Because it's a possibility that those things could happen and I ain't tryna take no chances. I don't know why he thinks that him throwing money at me is gonna help him bag me cause it's not. Whenever he gets that through his mind then I'll think about giving him a chance" and with that I got up and left going to Brooklyn's room
"Ugh-
"Oh shit my bad" I said quickly closing the door back tryna unsee what I just saw. Now where am I gonna go now? I thought about it then sighed maybe I should go talk to him, I walked up to the double doors just staring at it debating on if I should go in. A few minutes later he opened the door and pulled me inside then closed it back "how you know I was there?" I asked as I sat on the bed
"Did you forget dat we ca see through da doe but da other person on da other side can't in?" He asked, I looked at the door seeing straight through it
"Damn" I mumbled, the front I was finna put on is completely ruined now
"Dats whatchu get" he laughed and came to stand in front of me "yo ass so slow, I see right through yo stunts. You think by you tryna push me away imma leave you alone well guess what you wrong" he pointed his finger in my face, I slapped it away then he leaned down closer to my face making eye contact "imma always be hea rather you like it or not" he said and those words kept replying over and over in my head
