Chapter 2: Dangerous Turn of Events

LOCATION: PETEY AND SON LABATORY
TIME: 7:00AM

Lil Petey: "Papa! Wake uuuuupppppp!!"

It has been 10 minutes, and Lil Petey still couldn't wake up Petey. He tried to shake him. He tried to yell in his ear. But there was still no response. At this point, Lil Petey was starting to get worried. But he still had an idea to wake him up.

Lil Petey: "Alright! If you won't wake up then I have no choice!"

Lil Petey raced downstairs to get a cup. He then filled the cup with cold water and raced back to his dad's bathroom. Lil Petey stared at Petey for a few seconds before splashing water onto his face. Fortunately, that was just the trick to wake him up.

Petey: "AHH—HEY! What was that for?!"

Lil Petey: "You didn't wake up."

Petey: "WELL YOU COULD'VE JUST—"

Petey stopped talking and covered his mouth for a moment. Petey's voice sounded hoarse. Like, unusually hoarse. Lil Petey noticed, but it should be fine, right? It was morning after all, so it's normal. It'll go away right?

Petey: "...Let's just eat breakfast."

And so...

Petey made cereal and milk for Lil Petey and himself. It was the weekend, which means that Petey's gonna drop off Lil Petey to Dogman's house after breakfast.

During breakfast, it was completely silent. Lil Petey glanced at his dad once in a while and noticed that Petey looked uncomfortable, like something stressful is on his mind. Lil Petey wanted to say something about it, and he tried, but he just stood silent.

Petey: "Alright, are you—" Petey paused. "Are you done, kid?"

Lil Petey: "Almost!"

Petey's voice still sounded unusually hoarse. That's not good, Lil Petey thought.

Lil Petey: "Hey, before we leave, what happened to your voice?"

Silence appeared for a few seconds.

Petey: "Oh, I don't know, actually. Probably something that happened yesterday. It's nothing to worry about...I think."

That last part wasn't so reassuring.

Lil Petey: "...If you say so, Papa."

However, deep down, Lil Petey knew that something was wrong. He just needed to figure out what.

Petey didn't respond. Instead, he just waved back and walked away. Lil Petey turned to Dogman and 80-HD. Immediately, not only was there something wrong with Petey, but there's also something wrong with Dogman.
