Chapter 8: A Buncha Stuff That Happened Next

Dogman was walking along the city. Or well, speed walking, far away from Chief and the other officers.

'This isn't worth it at all, is it?' Dogman thought to himself.

He now felt more anxious than before, not only from Lil Petey's absence, but also from how Chief would react when he figures out that Dogman ran away. But...if Petey's gonna help find his son, then so should Dogman. Besides, he'd already arrived at Petey's house, so there's no going back now.

Dogman was about to knock on the door until he noticed a small gap in between. How convenient.

So, when he opened the door, what did he find? Well, nothing surprising, of course. However, the sounds of footsteps echoed upstairs, so Dogman knew someone was inside this house.

But it wasn't THAT loud, it was eventually quiet after a while. As Dogman walked up the stairs, he could hear a click clack sound echo throughout the house.

Dogman: "80-HD! Petey! Where are you guys?"

He exclaimed, to which his response was quickened footsteps.

Dogman: "Huh?"

Dogman followed where the sound was coming from and found himself upstairs in front of the bathroom door.

He heard the door lock.

Dogman: "Petey!"

Dogman ran towards the door and knocked on it aggressively. But he backed away when he suddenly heard vomiting coming from the bathroom.

Dogman: "I'll just..."

Dogman ran off to get something.

Petey was in a big pickle here. He scrunched up against the sink, just sitting there. Every day has only gone downhill like a cliff for him. And don't get me started on Petey's hallucinations. Right now, everything around him is shaking like a trippy earthquake. He could also hear distorted voices his head, but it wasn't something like a voice talking to Petey. It was more like conversations in the past all picked out from each section of his brain and all jumbled into one.

He couldn't understand why the bathroom was shaking. I mean, he knows that he's hallucinating, but he didn't expect it to be this intense.Why did he have to see wacky things that's all in his head? Why did he hear yelling, talking, and arguing all at the same time? Why are they even speaking in the first place? Why did all of this have to happen to him in the first place?

But now's not the time to contemplate it. Right now, his top priority is to fix up 80-HD's DNA Extraction Kit so he could find his son.

Petey stood up and turned on the tap to wash his hands, the sound of the water drowned out by the conversations in his head. He stared at the mirror, noticing his eye bags. Looks like the lack of sleep is starting to get to him, because he then got distracted by a familiar face in the mirror in front of him.
