Chapter 3: Something Bad Happens to Petey!

(Also this will be a short chapter, so sorry about that!)

LOCATION: PETEY AND SON LABATORY
TIME: 10:15PM

Petey slowly entered his home, shutting the door behind him. He shakily let out a breath before leaning in to the door from behind.

He felt...awfully tired. But why? Why was he feeling this exhausted? He didn't walk that much or anything.

So why... Petey thought, was he feeling this way...?

Petey fell to the ground. He only stood there, glancing around his surroundings. It felt ominous, especially due to how he's feeling right now.

It was silent. And dark. It almost felt like some sort of creature is gonna pop out of the darkness and jumpscare him. But obviously, that didn't happen. However, it felt more eerie to Petey that nothing is happening rather than if something did happen.

Then, Petey heard a sound. A tune.

It sounded like an unsettling tune, but yet, it was also so calming. The tune was moving along like a wave.

He slowly turned his head to the left. Then to the right. Petey couldn't seem to find where the sound came from. But the tune was distracting.

Petey's vision slowly started to warp. Everything he saw was in a different pattern and shape. But he just stood still, staring blankly into the hallway.

Suddenly, Petey couldn't breathe.

Petey abruptly stood up and looked around frantically. It just happened out of nowhere.

After that, everything went blurry. Petey could hardly remember what happened from there.

Petey barely remembered the blood that scattered everywhere.

Petey barely remembered running up the stairs.

Petey barely remembered frantically pressing "911" on his phone.

Petey barely remembered staring at Lil Petey's messages before blacking out.

It all felt like a dream.

The only thing that Petey could remember was the tune that played before all these events occurred.

TIME: 3:00AM

...

Petey slowly opened his eyes, focusing his vision. It was really blurry, so it was hard to see what was going on. However, there was a TV in the corner of Petey's vision, which only displayed static.

Where am I..? Petey thought.

Petey stood up and rubbed his eyes. He suddenly realized that he was in the hospital. Everything was more clear now. Petey noticed that he was hooked up to all these machines, and there was a lot of noise coming from outside the room.

A nurse then opened the translucent green curtain holding a clipboard in her hand. That nurse was Genie S. Lady, or just generally known as Nurse Lady.

Nurse Lady: "Oh, hey Petey!"

Petey: "Uh...hey."

Nurse Lady sat on a stool next to the hospital bed, and started to skim through her clipboard.

Nurse Lady: "While you were unconscious, we checked your vitals. There's nothing seriously wrong with you. But earlier...how can I say this? Your lungs, they were..."

Everything else that Nurse Lady said was just a complete jumble of words. Petey's attention turned to the TV's static screen. It didn't last long though, before Nurse Lady brought Petey's attention back to her.

Nurse Lady: "Petey! Do you know how all of this happened in the first place?"

Petey: "Sure I do. I got–"

Petey paused. He was supposed to finish his sentence, but he forgot what he was about to say. His memories were now as static as the TV in front of him. He didn't lose them of course–they were just altered a bit. (Author's note: Yeah, "just altered a bit.")

Nurse Lady: "You don't remember what happened?"

Petey: "I don't...but I just remembered a couple minutes ago!"

The two were then interrupted by a frantic doctor who grabbed Nurse Lady by the shirt. And just like that, the frantic doctor and Nurse Lady disappeared like vapor.

Petey felt like the noise outside was getting louder. It was annoying, but he couldn't do anything about it. The only thing Petey did was lie in his bed and stare at the static TV screen, before dozing off and going back to sleep.
