"Sister Y/n, why is this mister so tall?" Izuru blurted out as he stared at Alhaitham. You tried your best to suppress your laugh.

"Why do you ask me? You should be asking him that." You replied back earning a glare from the man. Izuru only nodded in approval and looked back at Alhaitham.

Alhaitham only had a staring contest at Izuru.

"Well, why are you so tall, Mister?" Izuru asked as he tilt his head slightly in confusion.

"Genes." He bluntly answered back expecting a little child to understand whatever he meant.

"What are they?" Izuru asked back once more. Alhaitham only paused for a moment trying to bring up the most simplest definition for a child.

"A blueprint of your body."

"Blueprint? Aren't they used by architects to build?"

At this moment, Alhaitham could only sharply inhale as he wasn't fond of answering incessant, meaningless questions. That had been his demeanor ever since the start; he hated to talk too much over academic things and only believed in the articles that were proved.

...But also considering the fact, Izuru was a child, Alhaitham had to process for a while more. To come up with an explainable answer.

"They are also used by cells to build an organism. You'll learn it when you're older."

"Are you an architect? How do you know about those things called genes being blueprints?" Izuru once more questioned that left Alhaitham silent for a while. This was your chance to interrupt as you did not want Alhaitham to go explaining a mere seven year old about genetics.

"They—" Alhaitham was immediately cut off by you.

"Izuru let's play Throwball! I'm bored and I want to do something entertaining!" You pulled Izuru away from Alhaitham and started dribbling the small playable ball. Alhaitham only gave you a side-eyed glance for a moment and pulled out his book, looking for a place to sit peacefully.

Well until, you held his cape and pulled him back.

"Where do you think you're going?" You asked with a threatening smile plastered all over you face.

Alhaitham responded casually. "I'm off to get some peace and quiet to read a book."

Reading a book 'peacefully' was what he initially planned but now, he stood across the other end of a temporary net, all alone. On the opposite side, you and Izuru were ready to start the match of throwball.
