Bang!

The very moment Ye Yin opened his eyes, loud sounds of gunshots rang aloud. It was very ear-piercing that he had to rub the base of his ears before looking around him.

Bang!

The moment he looked up, his eyes clashed with dark eyes that were so cold, a hint of anger aimed at him. If he could, he very much likely wants to eat him alive.

Bang! Bang!

Ye Yin could feel familiarity looking into his eyes. He wanted to look at his face more but too bad his mind is shutting down again, he is about to faint.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Boss Lan let's retreat! The more we engage the more our brothers will be at the mercy of those enemies!!" Dark Fox said.

"En. Let's go." Boss Lan coldly agreed.

Dark Fox was about to move but his eyes caught sight of the man in Xie Lan's arms, he frowned.

"Why are you still carrying him around? Boss Lan, at this point, do you still like him so much? He has caused you so much harm and wanted your life. Boss Lan, why can't you just leave him to die?" Dark Fox could not help but angrily spat.

Ye Yin had been too much.

Before the Ye Family fell, this arrogant bastard is just a rich young Master that only knows how to play and throw money at people. He is even so arrogant and despicable that everyone who knew him would want to be ten feet away from him.

Not only is he so arrogant he is also so despicable and won't recognize people, he beat people left and right without much dispute as long as he is unhappy someone will be beaten.

He is also known to chase women and even harass them to the point of police being called but there is no change in his personality and still does things his own way.

Dark Fox really does not know what his Boss had seen in this arrogant Master that he is so smitten as to chase after this person even to the point of not caring about his life even now.

Just look at what happened to them.

If not because of this rascal who had shaken hands with their enemies would they be in this sort of trouble with them wounded and a few brothers dead?

Dark Fox looked at Ye Yin with a dark look. She really wanted to kill this brat but because of the Boss' protection, she can't do anything!

"Don't touch him." Xie Lan warned.

Dark Fox scoffed inside her mind and his overflowing emotions inside her little mind not wanting to offend her Boss.

"..right. Let's go Boss." Dark Fox gritted her teeth.

"Go."

"......." Ye Yin who was the center of the fight stayed fainted.

The next moment Ye Yin woke up, he could see that it was in his room in the Xie Family. The hateful Xie family head that had imprisoned him in this place for a year now, the person he wanted to kill the most in his heart, Xie Lan.

Sitting up, he looks out the window and could see the same scenery that he had always seen that year ten years ago.

The expanse garden of blooming red roses always hurts his eyes every time he looks at it. It was as if it was mocking him every time he laid his eyes on it because he was the same, cage in this villa only to be watched by the owner.

'Did I go back in time? Is this the doing of that little ghost who talked to me? Is Xie Lan still alive?'

Ye Yin crumpled the sheets with how tight he was grabbing them.

"He is still alive." Ye Yin murmured to himself.

"Sorry to disappoint you but I am still alive."

A cold voice drifted into the room.

Ye Yin who was looking at nowhere, his eyes a little daze, quickly look at the source of the voice. His eyes reddened.

Xie Lan who silently entered the door without making a sound looked Ye Yin back in the eye without any fluctuations in his eyes, the same as before, cold.

"What are you doing here?" Ye Yin coldly said.

"Food."

Xie Lan did not say more and put down the tray of food in his hands on the table beside the bed before turning around to leave without any word.

"Xie Lan, when are you going to let me go? You had imprisoned me here for almost a year with no idea why I am here at all. What have I, Ye Yin, done to you that you treat me so?"

Ye Yin could not help but ask that same question he had always asked him during all those years of imprisonment.

Ye Yin did not shout nor scream like he used to before he had gone back in time. 

He is already so old that he knew that screaming and whining won't solve anything at all, now, he only needs to talk to him to get through that thick skull of his.

But by doing so, his words and actions became more cold and sharp than when he was screaming his head off like a child.

Xie Lan who was about to leave stopped in his tracks, did not look back nor look at him, he just stood there still.

"Even I don't know why."

With that, he left with heavy footsteps.

Ye Yin watches Xie Lan's heavy back towards him.

He bit his lips while watching that back slowly disappear from his eyes. 

He does not know why but when he returned back to time and saw him again, in his heart, there really is no hatred or anything just...nothing.

"Xie Lan, why are you doing this to me?"

Ye Yin watches Xie Lan leave with a heavy heart until he can no longer see him.

"Why even now, why don't I know what is inside that thick head of yours?"

He really wonders why the older man had kept such a troublesome person like him in his grasp not wanting to let him go.

Now that the Ye family has fallen so low, there really is nothing at all to gain from imprisoning him. He won't be even worth the same as the things inside his room, even his toilet paper is expensive that he could no longer afford ever since Ye family fell.

"Do you hate me or what?"

He really wondered what he wanted.

He also thought that maybe he had offended him when he was still that young arrogant Young Master but thinking about it he had never even seen him or crossed paths with him so how could he offend him?

But if he did not offend him, why did he treat him like a prisoner and won't let him go?

He had made so many troubles and messes that he had to clean his butt for him but he still did not let him go or mistreated him.

Even now, when he was implicated with the enemies, many brothers were injured and even Xie Lan almost died but he still took with him this arrogant young master and treated him as if he was some precious jade and did not even beat him up.

"What do you really want?"
