Quickly I move so I can stand next to him.
"Jungkook" he replied with 'mmm'.
It felt weird saying his name so casually, saying it like I hadn't met him a few hours ago. "Why were you there?" I asked making sure he heard the harshness in my voice.
I'm not mad at him, I have no right to be—but I am curious.
"Where" was all he said. He kicked a stick out of his way as we made it to a pretty large dome.
I pause on what I what I was gonna say, taking the 'Garden' in, even tho we were only outside of it.
He reaches to open the domes door, he tugs it a bit and just by that I can tell it's old and no one has been here in a long time.
So why did my dad want him to bring me here? Was it just to get me away from whatever they had to talk about?
And how come Jungkook wasn't allowed to know, or did he already know and they thought it would be best for him to bring me here. Maybe because we're closer in age and I would feel more comfortable with him.
Which I don't but it's better than the other guys.
The door was pushed open a little further. His free right hand waved in front of me and the door signaling me to go inside.
At least he was enough of a gentleman to hold the door open for me.
My shoulders shrugged unconsciously while letting myself walk in. Once inside I turned around, watching him walk in as well.
He ignores me for a second finding a bench by the far end of the dome.
"This is definitely not a good garden" his sudden deep chuckle sends me chills. It was like honey, honey that had cinnamon thrown all over it for a little extra burn.
"No, it's not" his voice lighter than before. I let my body fall beside him on the bench.
Is he afraid of the older guys? He seems so quiet with them but now that we're here, just the two of us, he seems to lighten up a bit.
I don't say anything for, taking in the dead flowers and growing vines. Maybe now that I'll be living here for the summer, I could fix it up.
Quickly I get back to what I was saying.
"So why were you there?" I pause but only for a second, realizing I have more to say. "And don't say, where?, because you know exactly what I'm talking about." I mimic his deep voice which only makes him chuckle again. There's no real emotion behind the chuckle though, just some kind of amusement."Uh..." he scratches his chin, I can tell it's out of habit. The same way I tend to wipe my sleeves over my noise. "I don't know" he says dropping his hand down to his thigh.
"You don't know why you were in a room you said people weren't allowed to be in" my eyebrows raise suspiciously. I don't look away from him even when his attention is strictly on his hands and the many rocks lying by our feet.
"I'm not in there a lot so I wanted to check it out" he shrugs like it's nothing which only makes me more curious. If it's nothing then why can't I be in there. The room didn't seem that out of place or mysterious to me. It was actually kind of cool and...pretty.
"Do you like boxing?" His body jerks and I know I hit the spot. I see his eyes dilate in anxiety.
"Does my dad box?" I don't let the first question settle in before hitting him with something else. I can't see what's so wrong about boxing."No..." he paused "no,no."
"Then what were the trophies, and robes, and picture-" his face turns towards me with so much speed it scares me.
