But once they opened the door, they could hear the loud groans of zombies. The groans begging, pleading. Desparate for flesh. The zombies were hungry.

"Unnie," Shuhua mumbled, tugging Yuqi close. "They're everywhere.." Yuqi glanced nervously at the prying zombies, their bloodied hands clawing at the fencing. The fence started to tip slowly, and Soyeon grabbed the handle of her machete, ready to defend if the fence fell down fully. Unfortunately, the fencing tipped over. Soyeon and Yuqi started to run past the zombies, dragging Shuhua. But Minnie wasn't so lucky. The infected corpses started to chase after her.

"HELPP!" Minnie screamed carelessly, attracting the attention of more zombies and she tried to outrun them. "GET AWAY FROM ME!" Minnie threw her machete forward, but it was flung away from some infected man as he spat bloody saliva at her face. Minnie ran further and further, seeing the three bodies go away slowly in the distance. She ran faster, trying to outrun the zombies. Luckily, Minnie still had enough stamina to sprint and outrun the chasing zombies. Running past all of the buildings, the road, the highway. Minnie started to breathe more constantly. She wanted to run away from the zombies as if she was running away from her problems. In the distance, past the local chicken restaurant, Minnie could see a dagger. She quickly sped up, running toward the dagger and snatched it quickly.

It has been 5 hours, Minnie had finally outran the zombies. But, she didn't know where she was. Only that she was hiding behind some old cardboard box in an abandoned home. Huddling, hugging her knees. Minnie braced herself from crying. She had lost everyone, everyone she cared about. She had left them behind, they had left her. Minnie looked in the horizon, to the distance where she ran away from. Blood coated her arms and streaked her face. She didn't care. She had to kill the zombies anyway. A rumbling shake shook the earth. Minnie jumped up onto her feet. She could hear a loud explosion from Seoul...They, they didn't...Nuke. Minnie gasped, thinking about Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. No, NO! She ran straight back.

Seoul didn't look the same, all of the buildings torn. Minnie could see zombies lying flat on the concrete. Perhaps they were dead, if they weren't already. She crept quietly, around the blocks and streets she couldn't recognize anymore. Everything was fiery, lit on fire. Blazing cars were thrown against buildings. Glass shattered everywhere, here and there. Minnie couldn't see any of her friends, the ones that she cared about.

"Yuqi? Shuhua? Soyeon?" Minnie called. She waited for a reply. Any reply. No sounds. Minnie's eyes started to grow watery, from the smoke and...She couldn't think about it. Minnie paced around the hut they had left, thinking. Clearly, they had left this moving that way..She pointed into the distance and sprinted. Not long before she found two bodies lying next to each other. Pools of dried crimson blood. She had been too late. Shuhua and Yuqi both laid dead against each other, not infected. They had not been bitten. Minnie knelt down, grabbing both girls as she shook them. No movement. They were really dead. Minnie broke into a bitter sob. Why was everything being taken from her? Where's Soyeon, though? She wandered sourly, glaring at the dark sky.

"Unnie," a weak, raspy voice spoke. Minnie flipped immediately. There laid Soyeon, her arms on fire. Her body was engulfed. "It burns." Minnie quickly ran over, waving her arms to put out the fire. No luck. Soyeon's head slumped forward to the earth. Letting nature take her away.

"PLEASE! Soyeon, wake up!" She cried, everyone was leaving her one by one. They are all gone now. Minnie was the only one left. She looked up into the sky. Only one building was standing. She could hear the sound of slicing propellers.

"RESCUE TEAM!" The speakers yelled, circling around the standing building. Minnie looked up into the sky with hope. The piercing propellers slicing the beautiful, beautiful sky. Today was a beautiful day, indeed.
