Third pov

It's a peaceful day in Mondstadt, everyone living their life and enjoying their time. But a certain whitenette and his companion were running away from a hord of hirichurls and mitachurls .

"WAAAAAAH!?!? WHAT DO WE DO (Y/N)!!", Bennett screamed while running, (y/n) was also running and clearly angry,"THE FUCK YOU ASKING ME?!", they screamed back, they had an idea as soon as they saw a cliff edge, they grapped Bennett's hand and ran towards the edge. Bennett was take aback and let out a yelp, he almost fell down, if it wasn't for (y/n) holding onto him. When he got over his surprise, his face went pale when he saw where they were heading towards.

"(Y-(y/n), what are you planning!??!", he questioned with growing fear. Instead of answering him, they gave him a grin and looked back forwards. Before Bennett had a chance to stop them, they jumped and pulled him with them. Bennett screamed and held tightly onto (y/n), closing his eyes. He felt the wind flying past his ears, (y/n) pulled Bennett to them and hugged him.

They turned around so their back was turned to the water and Bennett ontop of them. (Y/n) gave a loud laugh before they landed in the water. The hirichurls and mitachurls still by the edge, looked down and when they still didn't come out the water, they left. That's when both broke the water surface, Bennett was coughing and he could barely open his eyes, (y/n) was just breathing heavily.

"(Y/n) why did you do that! I thought we would die!!", Bennett shouted and still held onto them. The only response he got was a chuckle, both looked at each other and laughed. "Geez, next time warn me okay?", he smiled at them.

"Sure sure, next time down step on a stick and alert the enemy", they shot back with a smirk, Bennett just laughed awkwardly, soon both swam to the shore and took another breather. Both laid in the sand and just took a break. Bennett was in his mind and slowly felt his mood going down. "Hey...", he called out to (y/n), who just hummed," are you really happy being in my adventure team? I mean you wouldn't be the first one to leave you know?", he turned to (y/n) and looked into their eyes.

(Y/n) looked at him with a worried expression, "Why would you think I would leave? I don't care about your bad luck, I think it makes the adventure more fun and exciting!", they exclaimed and smiled at Bennett with a reassuring smile. Bennett gave his signature smile back. Both stayed there a little longer and enjoyed the calmness of the waves.

Soon both returned to Mondstadt, both talked and laughed, they walked to the statue and just stayed there. "That's how my bow almost fell in-", (y/n) was telling Bennett a story when a blonde princess came. "I Fischl die Prinzessin der Verurteilung needs a individual to support me in a lasting trip to the ruins of the dragon and search a mysterious treasure ", she spoke and doing her poses, the other two teenagers looked at her with confused expressions.

"What mein Fräulein means is that she got a commission to retrieve a chest from Stormterrors ruins", Oz the trusty crow translated and flew besides Fischl. Bennett nodded and turned to Fischl,"Sure, I'll help you!", he agreed and looked at (y/n), who seemed rather sad. "Sorry, but I promised Kaeya to help him with some stuff ", they apologised and gave a smile.

Bennett nodded sadly and wished them farewell, Fischl and Oz also bid (y/n) farewell. When the three left, (y/n) smile turned to a frown and his heart ached a little, they looked where Bennett was standing not long ago and left to find Kaeya.
