Six years have passed, and time remains a powerful force that both humans and supernatural adore and fear. It has the ability to bring life or death and can change one's entire being. Throughout these years, I have undergone significant transformations, much like a caterpillar encased in a cocoon waiting to emerge as a butterfly. And now, I am that butterfly.
Belle and Jessie have become like second mothers to me, providing unwavering support and guidance through life's challenges. I am forever indebted to them for the time and effort they have invested in me, and they have become my most trusted confidants. The Kingdom has also undergone changes, as it is now perpetually cold and snowy, a far cry from its previous sunny and beautiful state.
Despite the passage of time, the heartbreak I experienced still lingers in my heart. Jessie suggested that I move on and find someone new, but I know that I will never be able to love anyone as deeply as my mate, who I am meant to be with. Unfortunately, he is a selfish individual who only cares about himself, and I have heard that he is now engaged to his supposed mate. However, the wedding won't take place until next year, and I cannot help but feel torn about the situation.
Today is my crowning ceremony. All of the packs are coming to welcome me as their new ruler. They have thrown a big ball in my honor, and I feel ready to take the throne at this time for a new ruler in order. We have been having problems with the vampires, and it seems like we are on the brink of war with them. They have been hunting werewolves as a sport, and my father has given them a warning to stop by killing one of the coven masters, but that seemed to make things worse. I know deep inside that I'm going to have to declare war on them sooner or later.
Belle interrupts my thoughts, showing me my dress for the crowning ceremony. She shows me a beautiful long red dress, kind of Lacey from the top and kind of puffy from the bottom. It is an extremely beautiful dress. "Reyna, are you even listening?" she asks. "Sorry, I seemed to doze off," I say, looking out the window at the falling snow.
Jessie joins us in the room, looking at my large closet. "How many cloaks do you own?" she asks. I explain that I have to own a lot of cloaks because I wear them whenever I go outside to walk around the Kingdom. It is always snowing, so they go with it a lot.
My mother walks into the room and asks how I'm feeling. "Good," I lie. My stomach is turning about seeing my mate again.
"That dress is so beautiful," she says. "Wow, Belle, what an amazing dress you chose for her".
"Pridefully, she might become the Queen of werewolves, but I will remain the fashion queen," she says. I laugh at her joke.
As the makeup crew arrives, my mom smiles down at me with sad eyes, saying "Well, the makeup crew is here and ready to get you ready." I shake my head and remind her that I'm already 21, but she still sees me as her baby. She gives me one last hug and walks out, saying that today is the day I will see my crown for the first time. I'm actually very excited to see the crown, as each queen has her own custom-made one.
My makeup artist, Lamar, walks in with a sassy walk and greets me warmly. He and his crew transform me into a queen, and I look truly beautiful. Lamar even sheds a tear. I feel grateful for everyone in the room who has been with me since forever, and now they will witness my big moment.
Looking at myself in the mirror, I see that my hair is very straight and my makeup is on point. Everyone in the room looks at my face in awe. Belle gets on one knee and promises to always be loyal to me, and everyone else in the room follows suit. I'm overwhelmed with emotion and thank them for being with me from the start.
Jessie hugs me and says, "Now let's get that dress on fast." The dress looks stunning on me, and I can't wait to finally wear my crown.
I watch as everybody leaves to go get themselves ready for my coronation. Here I am, alone in my room, staring at myself in the mirror. I look outside the window and see that it is already night. Walking over to my balcony, I open the door and feel the chilly snow kiss my face. I look up at the stars, and I can hardly believe it. Today is the day that I have been dreaming about for all my life.
Suddenly, there is a knock on my door. "Princess, I have been told to inform you that it is time to go to the Royal Court," says one of my guards. My heart begins to beat faster. I walk to the door and open it, and my guards bow to me. I start to walk towards the Royal Court, where everyone that has a title is already waiting.
As I approach the massive doors, I know they are announcing my arrival because they open up. All eyes are on me and I can feel the weight of their gaze. My face remains emotionless as I make my way to the front where my father stands, smiling at me. He holds out my beautiful crown and I drop to one knee.
"Do you, Reyna Ludupie, accept to become our new ruler for our kind?" he asks me.
"Yes," I reply with confidence. As he places the crown upon my head, I stand up and make my way to the throne. Sitting down, I look out at the crowd and they all stare back at me in awe. I feel a sense of pride wash over me.
"My fellow werewolves, I introduce to you your new ruler," my father announces, "Queen Reyna Ludupie."
