It had been a few weeks since my first initial date with Caleb and we were enjoying each other's company. I would be going to his place later for a movie and a cookout. I knew he was wanting to go further and have me stay the night but honestly, I wasn't there yet I knew what was holding me back, but I couldn't admit that to myself. I was sitting on my couch reading when my cellphone went off and I smiled seeing a facetime from Eve.

"Hey you! I have been trying to call you!" Eve said the minute I answered.

"I know sorry, the shop has been insane."

"Really? More than normal?" Eve asked and I nodded.

"Did you not see Henry promoted the shop online?" I asked and she sighed.

"Of course, so of course people are coming in..." Eve said and I nodded.

"And buying online. I can barely keep anything in stock. I have so many special orders and not to mention trying to spend time with Caleb -..." I said and then snapped my mouth shut. I saw Eve's face light up and I sighed.

"Who is Caleb?!" She asked and I just shook my head.

"Are you around anyone?" I asked and she shook her head. "Caleb is someone who came into the shop and I may have accidently ruined a shirt of his with clay -..." I said and Eve groaned.

"Oh Dezi." She said placing her head in her hand but laughing.

"He was very cool about it though and it got me a date with him. He came to the shop and bought some pieces, special ordering more and then he asked me out." I said.

"So, is it serious?!" Eve asked and I slightly shook my head.

"No, I think we are just seeing where we can go with it. I mean it's only been a few weeks." I said and Eve groaned.

"Dezi, a few weeks? Yet you aren't serious? Why not?!"

"Because not all of us marry the first guy to show us attention after being single for years." I said annoyed and then groaned when Eve looked down. "Fuck, Eve...I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. I know you and Daniel are happy and love each other." I said and she nodded and looked back at the camera. I knew I had hurt it and wasn't my plan, but I spoke before I could shut myself up.

"It's fine. I know everyone thinks Daniel and I moved fast, hell my own parents think I did. You just never voice the same opinion." Eve said.

"Because I knew you loved him! Was it fast for you two?! Yes, but it's what makes you both happy! I'm happy you found happiness, right now I'm just trying to navigate life." I said and she giggled.

"Life is so hard. Why is life hard?" Eve asked.

"Because we got thrown into adulthood and we are stuck." I said and she laughed.

"So back to Caleb..." Eve said after a small silence. I groaned.

"What?" I asked.

"When do I get to meet him? Facetime I know but when?!" Eve asked and I laughed.

"Never! Not until we are serious, okay? Once things get serious you can talk to him." I said. She pouted.

"Fine. Think you will get serious?" Eve asked waggling her eyebrows and I knew what she meant.

"Excuse me?!" I asked and we laughed.

"Oh, come on it's been a while and you know it." Eve said and I shook my head.

"I'm not having this conversation with you." I said and heard Daniel come home. "And no mentioning him to anyone." I said she sighed but nodded.

"I promise." Eve said and Daniel came into frame and gave Eve a kiss. He then saw me.

"Hey you! Been awhile. I have someone here to say hi." Daniel said and then someone took the phone and I saw Henry. The same on my face grew bigger than it had been.

"Hey you!" I said and he smiled.

"Hey! I tried calling you yesterday. I needed to ask you a question."

"Were you asking her out?!" Eve asked and I just laughed as did Henry.

"No, it was about a piece I saw online buts gone now and I wondered if you had more." Henry said and I sighed.

"Not sure, since someone promoted my shop, I have been super busy." I said and he smiled but blushed.

"When I like something, I let everyone know." Henry said and I smiled.

"Why don't you text me what it looked like, and I will go through the pictures of what I had and send you some options?" I asked and he smiled.

"Sounds great." Henry said.

"Can I have my friend back?!" Eve asked and Henry shook his head.

"Nope, she is my friend now." Henry said and I rolled my eyes with a smile.

"I have to go anyway. I have somewhere to go." I said. Henry handed the phone back to Eve and she smiled at me and I nodded knowing she was asking.

"Okay have fun and be good." Eve said.

"Always. Love you guys." I said and hung up.

I sighed putting my phone in my pocket. I was getting ready to go to Caleb's. He wanted to do a cookout for dinner and then movie night so I figured I should head over to his placed now. As I was about to leave the house, I got a text message from Henry. It was a picture.

HENRY: This was the piece, I saved the pic to my phone.

I looked at the piece and knew I had like 4 special orders for that one.

DEZI: Yeah okay, um...I have 4 orders for it before yours but when I get into work, I will fill out the form for you.

HENRY: Thanks gorgeous.

DEZI: No problem 😉

Henry had been calling me every pet name in the book recently, well mostly when he wanted to suck up and get something.

HENRY: Sorry I didn't ask before I promoted the shop.

DEZI: It's fine, I loved the exposure honestly and I know it will die down soon.

HENRY: I love that you are getting the recognition you deserve.

I walked out of the house and got in my car. I didn't know what to respond to Henry. I loved how sweet he was and at this point in my life I was conflicted. I couldn't pinpoint it, but something was pulling me back to London, sooner rather than later.
