Eve and I had decided to stop and get some lunch while we were out shopping, she had been making me spend so much money, which was fine, my only concern was that I was going to have buy another suitcase to take everything home.
I had been texting Caleb and was getting nothing back in return and I sighed so I just let it go.
We ordered our lunch and I ordered a London Fog. Eve smiled as the waitress walked away.
"Are you having fun?" Eve asked.
"I mean we are out shopping, how can I not be having fun?" I asked causing us both to laugh.
"That's not what I mean and you know it." Eve said and I sighed.
"I don't know what you are talking about." I said and wouldn't make eye contact with her.
"Oh come on Dezi, I have known you almost your whole life. I know when you are conflicted about things and don't know what to do. Why not just talk to me about it? I wont judge whatever you say." Eve said and I sighed.
"I don't know why you would judge what I'm thinking about but okay..." I trailed off as our drinks were brought to us and I took a sip and moaned. "Perfection." I said and Eve chuckled.
"Come on Dezi, out with it." Eve said. I just looked down at the table.
"Okay so I have been thinking a lot lately about the shop and expanding..."
"Really?! That's amazing!"
"Yeah, but I was thinking about maybe going international..." I said and Eve sighed.
"Meaning...you want to open a shop up over here?" Eve asked.
"I mean why not?! It could be good exposure, I can just open a shop like I have at home, find someone to run that shop and I start up the one here." I spoke really fast .
"Dezi, calm down. What is the real reason you want to open a shop over here?" Eve asked.
"Excuse me? Real reason?" I asked.
"Yeah real reason. I know you are saying to expand and exposure but I don't think that's it at all." Eve said.
"Eve, I have nothing left at home. My parents yes but they have been wanting me to get out and see places. They would be over the moon about this move. I havent seen anything that looks like what I can make and sell here. I think it would be an amazing business venture." I explained more.
"What else?"
"Well obviously you're here, Daniels here...I would be around you guys." I said. Eve sighed slight shaking her head.
"And Henry's here." Eve said and I was caught off guard.
"What?" I asked.
"Henry's here...you would be around Henry."
"I mean yeah I guess Henry but he isn't the reason I want to do this. I don't even know what bearing Henry would have on my decision. He's a friend." I said and Eve sighed.
"A friend you couldn't stand when I got married, a friend you slept with a groomsman because you couldn't even think about giving Henry a chance to say he was sorry."
"He said he was sorry! He told me everything that happened. I just refused to accept it at the time. We have talked everything out since then and we're friends." I said.
"Dezi, please don't play me as dumb. I haven't missed the flirty glances, the constant whispering, always talking, going on a date with him...all while you have a man waiting for you back home!" Eve said and I just sighed.
"A man who hasn't answered any of my text all day? A man who won't even talk to me?" I questioned.
We were silent for a minute towards each other since we had never really argued like this before.
"Is Henry the reason you wont sleep with Caleb?" Eve finally asked.
"What?!"
"Is Henry the reason you wont go any further with Caleb? You feel something for Henry and you don't know how to deal with it." Eve explained.
"Listen, I will say this one time loud and clear. I want to expand the shop, I want to go international, I want to step out of my comfort zone and more importantly there is nothing but friendship between Henry and I. Henry has been so nice to me and willing to listen to me complain about work and everything else." I said and Eve looked at me.
"Why didn't you call me and complain to me?" Eve asked hurt.
"I tried...you were busy being married and I didn't want to complain to you and ruin your wedded bliss. Listen that's not the point. The point is if I were to make a move here it wouldn't be for any one specific person but myself and the shop." I said.
"Okay but you do have to take one person into account..."
"Who? And I swear if you say Henry..." I said.
"No, Caleb...would he move with you?" Eve asked and I sighed.
"He doesn't even know about this idea yet, you're the first person I have told." I said.
"Well in that instance I feel honored but I didn't seem like you have really thought about this situation too much." Eve said.
"I guess not..."
"Listen, I'm not here to bash your dreams and to have you here with me would be amazing I just want you to make sure you are doing it for the right reasons and have everything all set up. Even personal affairs in order." Eve said and I nodded.
"I know, I will." I said and gave a small smile.
"Can I ask you a question about Henry?" Eve asked and I sighed.
"What?" I asked.
"Does he know about Caleb?"
I just looked down at my hands fidgeting with my napkin in my lap.
"DESTINY!" Eve said knowing that was my answer.
"Listen he doesn't need to know about him. I just told you since you were kind of pushing. I don't want to tell anyone else right now since I don't know where we are. There is no point in bringing him in if he isn't going to stay." I said and Eve groaned.
"You are weaving a dangerous web."
"I'm weaving a beautiful web, leave me be." I said as our food was delivered.

I was laying in bed that night reading when my cellphone went off with a text message.
HENRY: I like texting knowing you're in my time zone and I don't have to do the math.
DEZI: Why too hard to figure out?
HENRY: Ha ha...
DEZI: I like being in your time zone too.
HENRY: Well since you're in my time zone does Eve have plans for you tomorrow?
DEZI: No she took me out shopping today and I spent too much money and not sure how I will get anything packed for when I got home.
HENRY: Well I'm sure you can figure that out. But tomorrow I want to come pick you up from Eve and Daniels at 10am and we are going out for the day. I will even have a London Fog waiting for you.
I smiled at this. A date with Henry.
DEZI: Sounds amazing. See you at 10.
HENRY: Can't wait.😉
I put my phone down and sighed. A day out with Henry...what could go wrong?
