It's been a couple of days since I got sorted into Slytherin. I'm sharing a dorm with my sister and we've been bonding a lot with eachother. We haven't laughed like we have in the last couple of days, since forever. I really missed this.
But, next to trying to get closer to Pansy, I've been trying to stay away from Mattheo as much as I can. He keeps on trying to make conversation with me, but I keep giving him short answers and try to end those conversations as soon as I can. I hate doing this, but he can't find out who I am and I can't be friends with him, because his father will find out one way or another. And I can't have that. So, I have to just stay away from him, as much as it hurts me.

I'm sitting in the commonroom at the moment, since I know Mattheo had a class on the other side of the castle, so I know he won't be here for at least another 20 minutes. It's me, Draco, Pansy and Theo sitting here, when Draco started complaining to Theo that the chaser for the Slytherin quidditch team quit that afternoon. 'We have a game tomorrow and this asshole quit TODAY! We need a chaser now and everyone I've asked has said that they don't want to or can't play tomorrow. If we don't find a new chaser today, we either need to forfeit, which we don't do when we have a game against Gryffindor, or we need to play with one person too little.' Draco said to Theo. 'You'll find someone, have you asked Goyle?' Theo responded. 'Yes, but he can't play, because he broke his arm yesterday during flying class.' 'Have you asked, Daphne Greengrass?' 'Yes, she doesn't want to play.' Draco said, while getting even more frustrated. I heard the whole conversation, but kept my mouth shut, until I saw Pansy looking at me. 'Don't you dare Pansy.' I whispered to her. 'I'm sorry.' She whispered back. 'Y/N can play, Draco.' She said. 'Really?!' Draco exclaimed. 'No!' I responded. 'Yes, she can!' Pansy said. 'I can't play.' I started to argue. 'Yes, you can Y/N. I've seen you play. You've been playing since we were little and you were on the Beauxbaton team for five years. So, you can play!' 'Please, Y/N. Can you please play?' Draco started begging. 'Fine.' 'Thank you, so much Y/N!' Draco said. 'Yeah, yeah, you're welcome.' 'We're training tonight at 7, can you come, so we can see how you play and where it's best to place you?' 'Sure, Draco. I'll be there.' 'Great!' I looked over at Pansy who was smiling at me, while I just looked at her with an angry look in my eyes. I was annoyed that she pushed me to play quidditch, but secretely I'm also a bit happy. I've missed playing quidditch, so finally being able to play again, feels good.
'Now that Pansy told us all about how you are good at playing quidditch, I know one more personal thing about you.' Theo said smirking at me. 'Good for you. However, you still don't know anything really personal. So, like I said on the train, don't try to get to know me. It won't work.'

Just as I said that to Theo, Mattheo walked into the commonroom. I looked at him, turned my head back to the others and said: 'You know what guys, I have some homework and I need to find my stuff for quidditch, so I'll talk to you guys later.' And with that I walked out of the commonroom and into my own dormroom. I didn't completely lie to get out of talking with Mattheo, because I really did have homework to do and I did need to grab my quidditch equipment. However, both would take like ten minutes and I don't need to be on the quidditch field for another two hours. So, after I did my homework and put my stuff by the door, I just sat down on my bed to read my book. I started reading Hogwarts: a History, because I was curious to know more about the school and because I was hoping to find some easier ways through the halls, because it still really is a maze, especially the stairs.

After about an hour of reading, I got up from my bed, ate some dinner in the Great Hall and went out to the field. 'I'm here, Draco. Where do you want me?' I said when I saw Draco already out on the field. 'You're going to be a chaser, so I just want to see you pass the quaffle a couple times and try to hit some goals.' 'Sounds good, let's do it.' I got on my broom and flew into the air. Draco kept trowing quaffles at me and time after time I caught them and threw them back towards him. He tried to make it hard for me, by throwing them in a completely different direction or to throw them too low, but even then I caught them. 'Nice going, Y/N. Now let's try to hit some goals.' Draco and some of our teammates got infront of the goalposts and I needed to make goals without them stopping them. I hit every goal and Draco and the rest of the team were very impressed. Draco suggested to play a mockgame to see how I would work in the team and I thought that was a great idea.
During the mockgame I scored some goals and made some great passes to my teammates. But, after a couple minutes of playing, I saw that someone had sat down in the bleachers to watch us train. I looked at who it was and low and behold it was Mattheo. He was looking at me and smiled when he noticed I was looking at him. This was everything I ever wanted when I was playing for Beauxbatons; Mattheo coming to my games and just supporting me. But, it never happened and it can't happen now. I took a deep breath, while a single teardrop left my eye. I was so focused on Mattheo, that I didn't notice someone threw the quaffle at me and I completely missed it. Someone else caught it, threw it back at me and once again I missed it. 'Y/N what the hell are you doing? You've missed the quaffle twice now eventhough you've not even dropped it once during the many other times we've thrown it at you during practice.' Draco yelled at me from a couple meters away. 'Sorry, Draco. I don't know what happened.' I shook my head a couple times, to get Mattheo out of my head and focuse on practice again. We practiced for another hour and afterwards Draco and I walked back towards the castle.

'Hey Draco?' 'Yes?' 'Why doesn't Mattheo play quidditch?' 'He hasn't played since we were kids. He used to always play, but something happened, that made him stop playing.' 'What happened?' 'I don't know. One day something just changed. He started focusing on magic more and forgot about quidditch.' 'Have you known Mattheo long, Draco?' 'Yes. My parents work with his father, so we sort of grew up together whenever my parents would go over there for meetings.' That's where I must know him from. I must have seen him at Mattheo's house before or I must have seen a picture of them. That's why I felt like I knew him from somewhere. 'Were you good friends back then?' I asked Draco. 'We kinda were, but I would never be better friends with him, than this girl that he was friends with. I don't remember her name and I never really met her, but he always told me about her. How good of friends they were and how much he loved hanging out with her.' 'Is he still friends with her?' 'I don't know, to be honest, Y/N. I haven't heard him talk about here in years, so I don't think so.' 'What a shame.' 'Yes, it really is. I always thought they might end up together or something with the way he talked about her, but knowing that they aren't friends anymore, yeah that's just such a shame.' 'Yeah... uhhh... You know what, it's getting late, Draco. So, I'm going to my dorm, okay?' 'Yes, ofcourse. Thanks for training with us and with what I saw today, we are definitely going to win with you on our team tomorrow.' 'Ofcourse we will, but not just because of me. You have put togeter an amazing team. So, I can't wait to play tomorrow. Good night Draco.' 'Goodnight Y/N.'
And with that I walked back to my dorm and immediately fell asleep as soon as I hit my pillow

When I woke up, I realised it was gameday, so I got ready as quickly as I could and went to the Great Hall to get some breakfast in me. Some people get so nervous for gamedays, that they can't eat, but I always get so hungry, I could eat a horse. 'Are you ready for the game today, Y/N?' Pansy said while sitting down next to me. 'Yes, I really am. I've missed playing quidditch, so thanks for pushing me to do this, Pansy.' 'You're very welcome, sis. I'm just happy to see you so excited for it.' I blushed a bit while I gave Pansy a big hug.
'I didn't know you had such a soft side for people, Y/N.' Theo said while sitting down opposite me and Pansy. 'Oh shut up Theo. You're just jealous that you don't know me as well as Pansy does.' I said with a smirk on my face. 'Maybe just a bit.' He said with a grin. 'Good luck on the game, by the way.' 'Thanks Theo.' 'You better win for us.' 'I'll do my best.' 'You better.' Theo said with a stern face, while soon replacing it with a smile. 'Well guys, I better head out there and get ready, so I'll see you out there, right?' I said. 'Ofcourse, Y/N. We'll be right there.' Pansy said just before I stood up to walk out of the Great Hall. Just before I could walk out of the door, Mattheo walked in. 'You were quite good at practice yesterday. So, I'm sure you guys will win today. And eventhough you don't need it, good luck on the game today.' He said. 'Thank you, Mattheo.' I gave him a weak smile, before walking out into the halls. I went around the corner and started breathing a bit heavy. Just relax Y/N. It will be okay. Take a deep breath and you'll be fine. Okay, I'm okay. I just have to get Mattheo out of my head, before I step on my broom. I quickly went outside to the field and got my stuff ready for the game.

After about 20 minutes, it was time for the game. We all got on top of our brooms and flew to our positions. The bludgers, quaffle and the snitch were released and with that the game started. Within the first two minutes, I somehow already scored a point with the quaffle. And before I knew it, the Gryffindor team had scored six times, while the Slytherin team had scored ten times. We were four goals ahead, but still nobody had caught the snitch yet. Draco and Harry Potter, the Gryffindor seeker, were both looking for it, when I saw it out of the corner of my eye. 'Draco!' I yelled. He looked over at me and saw where I was looking. He quickly flew after the snitch with Harry only meters behind him. Just before Harry could catch up to Draco, Draco caught the snitch and the game ended.
With ten goals made and the Golden Snitch caught, Slytherin won the game. I landed on the field and Draco, Pansy and Theo ran towards me. 'You did it Y/N!!!!!' Draco yelled. 'WE did it Draco!!!' I yelled back. 'You were amazing Y/N.' Theo said to me. 'Thanks, Theo.' I responded to him. Pansy gave me a tight hug, while saying that I played amazing as well. I loved this moment. During the hug, Mattheo had walked up to us and said to Draco and me: 'Congrats guys. You were great out there.' 'Thanks.' I said, just before being talked over by Draco about how we are going to throw a party because of our win. Everyone loved the idea, so I guess that's what my evening plans are going to be.
