You don't know me!

After the game, I went back to my dorm together with Pansy. 'We need to find a cute outfit for you for the party tonight Y/N.' Pansy said the moment the door closed. 'Why for me? You need to look hot, not me.' 'I do, but I want you to look hotter. This is your first party at Hogwarts so you need to show how amazing you can look. And I already have an idea how we can do that.' 'What's your idea, Pans?' 'Did you bring those black leather jeans?' 'Ofcourse I did.' 'Good! Grab those, a white lowcut tanktop and some high heels.' 'Okay.' I grabbed the items and put them on. 'You look smoking Y/N.' Pansy said once she saw me in my outfit. 'Thank you, Pansy!' 'Ofcourse. Anything to make you look like the beautiful girl you are.' 'You know how I feel about getting called beautiful Pansy.' I said a bit annoyed. I never liked being called beautiful, but nonetheless Pansy tried to call me that every chance she got. 'I know. At some point in your life, you just gotta accept that I won't stop calling you that.' 'Probably, but that time's not now. Because right now, we need to find an outfit for you.' 'I already have an outfit in my mind.' 'Okay, show me, sis.' Pansy grabbed some clothes, walked into the bathroom and came out looking amazing. She was wearing off-the-shoulder, long-sleeve grey shirt with a black skirt and some knee high boots. 'You look amazing, Pansy!' I said. 'I know right. It must just be good genes.' We laughed a little, before deciding to go towards the commonroom for the party.

We walked in and Draco, Theo, Blaise and Mattheo immediately turned their heads towards us. 'You girls look amazing!' Theo said to Pansy and me. 'You got a little drool there, Theo. Might want to wipe that away.' 'Haha, very funny Y/N.' 'Thanks Theo. I know I'm funny, but I love to hear it from others.' I said while smirking. 'Well since Y/N won't say it, thanks for the compliment on our looks Theo.' Pansy said. 'You're welcome Pansy. See, that's how someone nice responds to a compliment.' Theo responded while looking at me. 'Oh, that's how that works. I'll try it next time.' I said thoughtful face. 'I'm going to grab something to drink, does anyone want anything.' I asked everyone that was sitting on the couch. 'Yeah, can you grab me a butterbeer?' Pansy was the only one that wanted anything, so I said ofcourse while I started walking towards the drinktable.
When I got there, someone started talking to me. 'You're Y/N right?' 'Yes, and who might you be?' 'I'm Cedric Diggory. Nice to meet you.' 'Nice to meet you too.' I said back. 'How do you know my name by the way, Cedric?' I asked him after I started to wonder. 'I heard your name during the game today.' 'Ofcourse, that's more than logical.' I started to snicker a bit. 'You were great out there today.' 'Thanks, Cedric.' 'And you look great as well.' 'Thanks again.' I had a feeling what was going to come next and eventhough Cedric was nice, I wasn't in the mood to talk much to or dance with guys tonight. 'I was hoping you would walk over here you know?' 'Really?' I responded with a faint smile. 'Yes, because I wanted to ask if you might want to dance with me. So, what do you say?' 'I'm sorry. I promised I would bring a drink to my sister and I need to talk to her for a bit, so maybe there's someone else that wants to dance with you.' I quickly grabbed my drinks and walked back over to the couch. The only place left was between Mattheo and Theo, so I sat down hoping that neither would talk to me about the conversation with Cedric. But, I guess just crossing my fingers, wasn't enough hope, because before I could even give the butterbeer I brought for Pansy to her, Mattheo started to talk to me. 'What did Cedric want?' 'What do you care, Mattheo?' I asked him. 'I was just curious.' 'Well he just wanted to tell me that he saw me play today.' 'That's it? It looked like a longer conversation.' 'Well it was, Mattheo. He also asked me to dance with him, but I said no. Is your curiosity fulfilled now?' 'Good.' 'What do you mean good?' I asked him, not knowing what he meant. 'Good that you said no.' 'Excuse you? Why is it good that I said no?!' I was a bit irritated that he thought he has the right to have an opinion about me saying yes or no to someone asking me to dance. 'He's no good for you, so you shouldn't dance with him.' 'First of all, I can decide for myself if someone is good for me or not and second of all, what do you care if someone is "good" for me?!' 'Well, I just think you should go for someone who would treat you right and he wouldn't.' 'And how would you know?!' 'I just know, okay?' 'Sure, Mattheo. But, I can take care of myself so please don't meddle in my decisions about dancing with guys.' I was slightly irritated with this conversation. On the one hand I was irritated because why does he think that I can't take care of myself. And on the other hand, it also felt quite nice that Mattheo cared about my wellbeing. It's so annoying, having to keep him at a distance eventhough all I want is to have him close again.
