TW!ANGST, DESCRIPTIONS OF PANIC ATTACKS AND SWEARING!
After the second reset, Scott (the starborne) had been getting severe headaches during the day. They'd go away during the night, given they are a star. They had tried to ignore them before, and be their usual cocky, sassy and brave self, but the pain was overwhelming.
-one morning-
Scott looked at themself in the mirror, just examining their features. Their deep purple hair, streaked with dark pink. Their skin, pale and spotted with white and black freckles. Their eyes also a deep purple, sporting bags, showing their tiredness. Their arms, space corruption creeping up to their shoulders. Their mindless staring was interrupted by a loud knock at the door.
"Come in" Scott announced, their voice deep and scratchy.
"Hey, Scott!" The visitor said high energy."Oh, hey Phil." Scott said, turning to the elytrian.
"Damn, you sound like you have a cold. You alright?" Phil said with a worried look.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just.. tired, I guess." Scott groaned, leaning against the counter.
"If ya say so. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that we've got a meeting planned for tonight, so come to the pub(e) around sunset." Phil explained.
"Alright, thanks. I'll be there." Scott said, and half-assed a smile.
"Okay, Scott. You aren't okay, what's the matter?" Phil said strictly.
"Phil, I'm fine." Scott said defensively.
"That was the fakest smile I've seen in my life. What's wrong?" Phil countered, raising his voice, causing Scott's headache to worsen abruptly. Scott twitched a bit at both the pain and the volume of Phil's voice but stayed silent.
"Scott, please? You know I care about you." Phil said, speaking calmly, yet irritated. Scott sighed.
"I've been getting massive headaches during the day. It's been happening since we reset the second time." Scott explained, and Phil looked at the starborne with concern.
"Are you sure you'll be able to come to the meeting? Knowing Tommy and such..." Phil asked, lowering his voice.
"Yeah, I'll deal with it." Scott said, and truly tried to smile. 'That's what I always do.' The star thought to themselves, and Phil nodded. The two talked for a couple more minutes before Phil had left, and Scott finally got some silence, aside from the headache. After a hot second of spacing out trying to numb the pain, Scott sat at their crafting table to distract their mind by making things. They had made a plush of Phil for the elytrian, showing their appreciation for helping them through hard times. So, Scott had the one concious thought to write a thank you note to Phil, along with the plushie to give to him before they recluded themself in their house again. The note read, in scribbly yet neat cursive writing:
- To Phil,
Thanks for being here for me. I hate to burden you with all my problems, but you've helped me even when you didn't know I had the migranes. Take care of Tommy, Tubbo, and Aimsey for me, as I may be in my house for stars know how long, and I'd feel terrible to not write at least once. And please, let Wilbur, Shelby and Niki know that they can visit at any time, as they are the quietest of the group I know. And don't worry, you can visit too. :) Thanks again for being here.
(p.s, i may be out at night, so if you ever are lonely, try to find me)
- Scott Major
Scott folded the paper, and sent a star to deliver the note and gift to Phil. They then took their tiny pocket knife that was gifted by Techno, and started to carve stars and planets in the wood pole centered in his house. Luckily, they were used to drawing space related things, and spent a couple hours thinking of past activities while spacing off. Soon enough, the bell at the pub(e) rang, which signaled at Scott that they needed to go to the meeting. Which Scott was dreading.
Once Scott arrived, they sat next to Phil and Ranboo, ready for at least two hours of endless torture.
"Okay, let's start, I guess." Phil announced, silencing the room. Phil seemed on edge since he'd visited Scott, but he was like a father to Scott, so they could see why.
"Now, we need to build a bridge to the other side of the huge lake under the pub(e) to make it more acessible, who wants to do that?" Phil asked, and Scott quietly volunteered.
"I'll do it." They muttered, trying not to sound deathly.
"Alright, and now we..." Phil started, but Scott zoned out for the rest of the meeting, luckily not being mentioned.
After the meeting, Phil had asked Scott to meet at Scott's place, to check up on them.
"Hey, mate, you okay? You were really unfocused that entire meeting.." Phil worried.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just tired."
"Starbornes can't sleep."
"Phil... I've had a constant migrane that feels like TNT it's going off in my head for the past two years. That kind of tired."
"Oh. Sorry, mate." Phil apologized.
"It's okay, no need to stress about it. It's my life after all." Scott said, slightly shaking.
"Hey, I'm Dadza. I have every right to worry." Phil laughed quietly.
"Ah, sorry- I'm- sorry." Scott stumbled, their voice shaky. Scott sat down on the ground outside their house, and covered their face with their hands. Phil sat down with them, and put his hand on Scott's shoulder.
"I'm so- so sorry, Phil. I- ca- sorry-" Scott said, close to breaking down.
"It's all good, kiddo. Come here, let it all out." Phil said, opening his arms. Scott jumped in, and started to shake so much more them they ever have.
"Breathe, Scott." Phil calmly said, and wrapped his wings around Scott.
"I- don't wa-want to breathe. It fee-ls wrong-g! What's w-rong with m-me?!" Scott attempted to say between shaky and trapped breaths.
"Nothing is wrong with you, I promise. I'm right here, don't worry. " Phil reassured Scott. Scott tried to apologize, but they sobbed every time they tried to speak. Phil noticed the stars glow brighter each second, and figured that was Scott. Phil could feel Scott's heartbeat through their chest, and they were shaking so much that Phil was afraid they were dying.
"Phil i-t hurt-s so mu-ch-! I c-an't bre-athe!" Scott managed to scream before everything went quiet, Scott stopped shaking, and the stars practically died out.
"Scott? Scott, mate, say something!" Phil raised his voice, but he got no response.- -TBC- -
