#08 - Spirits can accompany dragons?

〔Heleos pov〕

I finally finished healing this dragon and soon he went to the wolf nodding towards the bottom of the forest, probably trying to tell him to go home.

[Heleos]: "Why does this dragon care so much for this wolf?"

When looking around I see him leaving the wolf and going in a direction that is not out or deep in the forest, afraid he was planning something I went after him and after a few meters I saw a hut made of branches and vines.

[Heleos]: "A leaf for a door? How strange, that dragon wasn't surprised to see that... could it be that he did it?"

Leaving the thoughts aside, I continued to follow him in the same direction, however, the more I followed him, for some reason I felt a stronger and stronger regret.

[Heleos]: "What is... going on?! I can't go any further!"

Without hesitating, I retreated and went back to the hut where I was watching him from afar confused and with my thoughts totally mixed up.

[Heleos]: "What was that? Why did that happen? How did he get past that? Is he really a dragon? Is he a shapeshifter? No, I doubt one would be able to do that! This is very dubious, mysterious, suspicious, terrifying!!!"

Almost despairing, I see him from afar gathering branches and doing something very strange with them, apparently a box in which he is used to keep some shells of an egg with the same white color as himself.

[Heleos]: "Could it be his egg? He mentioned earlier that he was born here and kept the husks"

After he put the husks away in the box, he started to do one more thing, I was very shocked at what a dragon was doing.

Many minutes passed and I knew that, because I had already read about it, it is a wagon, originally created by humans.

With the wagon finished, he went through the trees and came back carrying a wooden human, even though I read so many books, I didn't know what it was. He put it on the wagon along with the box and a basket, then he took the vine that was tied to the front of the wagon, put it on his chest and started to pull back in the same direction he came. I took the opportunity to go back to where I was.

[Heleos]: "He almost saw me..."

[Sein]: Nink!

[Heleos]: «Have you got your things yet?»


[Sein]: "Yes. It's all here"

[Heleos]: «Where did you get these things?»

[Sein]: "I made them myself"

[Heleos]: «And what are they?»

[Sein]: "This one is a box, this is where I'm carrying my egg shells"

[Heleos]: «Can I see it?»

[Sein]: "Of course"

Without refusing, he opened the box and I saw the shells of the same white color as him.

[Heleos]: «Apparently, you didn't lie and stuff?»

[Sein]: "That's a basket I use to scoop my food"

[Heleos]: «"Spoon"?»

[Sein]: "Yes. I eat berries"

[Heleos]: «Hahahahahahaha! What a splendid joke!"

[Sein]: "Sorry. It's not a joke, I really eat berries."

[Heleos]: «I am no longer amused! Tell the truth"

[Sein]: "I told the truth, and going on..."

His still refusing to tell the truth and continuing to explain makes me furious.

[Sein]: "This is a training dummy"

[Heleos]: «Training dummy?»

[Sein]: "I use it to level up my fighting skills, and this is a wagon I'm going to use to get away"

He has turned his back on me and placed the wagon vine on his chest, I am more and more intrigued by how this dragon is not fighting to remain or define his dominance.

[Heleos]: «Wait!»

He stops, looks back and I approach

[Heleos]: «You shouldn't leave so easily! You are a dragon, you should fight for this place, define your domain!»

[Sein]: "I'm not like that"

[Heleos]: «What?»

[Sein]: "I'm not one to bully and take, I'm one to please and conquer"

[Heleos]: «You are a good-for-nothing dragon!»

[Sein]: "The more you try to piss me off, the more chance I have of breaking your train of thought"

That last sentence was so impactful, it reached the bottom of my being and I couldn't do anything else. It was like I was surrounded by chasms.

[Sein]: "See you later, Heleos"

Unable to move, I saw him come out of the forest, with all my strength I went after him, but I was blocked by the forest barrier.

[Heleos]: <Dragon, wait! Wait! Wait!>

[Heleos]: «WAIT, SEIN!!!»

I saw his ear twitch and he turned and went back, but he was blocked from entering by the barrier. He looked at me and placed his front paw on the barrier and I did the same.

[Sein]: «Eo N@0 ¶0$$0 π@l$ √0lt@R»

He's using his telepathy while I'm using mine creating a line through the barrier.

[Heleos]: «I'm sorry, Sein. I shouldn't have judged you..."

[Sein]: «Tūb0 b&π, &o ¶&rb00ū √0©&»

[Heleos]: «I wish I could go with you, to show my regret...»

[I do not know]: "..."

[Heleos]: «Sein?»

Suddenly his eye turns blue for a moment and he claws his claw through the barrier and grabs me. At that moment I thought he had tricked me, that he was stronger, that he had grabbed me and was going to turn me to dust! But then he releases me and I see a gentle smile on his face, even though a dragon's face isn't meant to have diverse expressions.

[Sein]: "Now we're both here, together"

Then we started laughing together, his laughs are gentle too, I had been wrong about him. It's the beginning of a friendship, the beginning of a partnership!
