#18 - The familiar contract

〔Lilia pov〕

In the guild's infirmary, I help heal other groups' wounded and someone slams the door.

[Estevan]: Lilia, you owe me an explanation!

[Lilia]: I don't have time for this, Stevan.

I answer with my eye fixed on the patient who is suddenly hit by a healing potion and recovers.

[Estevan]: Now there is!

[Lilia]: Very well... say it.

[Estevan]: What happened to me in the forest and what happened to the dragon?!

[Lilia]: What dragon are you talking about?

[Estevan]: You know very well! The one I ran through with the knife!

[Lilia]: Do you have a knife?!

[Estevan]: Of course! Did you see!

[Lilia]: I didn't see any dragons. A wolf jumped behind you and Nilio tried to hit him with the sleeping potion, but he missed and hit you. We had to back off.

[Estevan]: That's what we're going to see! Nilio!

Nilio, who was at the back of the ward helping a patient, approaches.

[Nilio]: What happened, Estevan? I'm busy, it better be quick.

[Estevan]: What happened to the dragon in the forest!?

[Nilio]: Dragon? You are deliring? There are no dragons in this forest.

[Estevan]: Don't try to trick me! He made me faint!

[Nilio]: Estevan... I did it. I tried to throw a sleeping potion on a wolf, but I missed and hit you.

He turns and stomps out the floor, slamming the door once more.

[Nilio/Lilia]: Phew...

[Nilio]: That was a good idea, Lilia.

Nilio and I went back to work and spent a lot of time there until our shift ended.

Nilio walks away and I enter the forest, I look around to look for good fruit, but I can't find it and I go deeper until I hear the sound of a wolf. I hide in bushes that will mask my scent and I see wolves getting ready to hunt a deer, but the side where it will probably run is being blocked by webs and I see something white coming out of the bushes.

[Lilia]: "Shindora?"

He looks at me and I hide.

[Lilia]: "He almost saw me... did he go to the side of the wolves?"

[Shindora]: «Don't worry about it»

[Lilia]: !!!

A childish voice pops into my head, but I look around and find nothing.

[Shindora]: «Up here»

I look up and see the little dragon dangling with its tail.

〔Shindora pov〕

She looks at me and I go down to stand in front of her.

[Shindora]: «I'm sorry for surprising you»

[Lilia]: "Are you Shindora?"

[Shindora]: «It's me, Lilia. Thank you for taking care of me and protecting me from that paranoid knight»

[Lilia]: "You're welcome. But what are you doing with the wolves?"

[Shīndora]: «I won the friendship of the wolves and asked them not to attack humans or their village»

[Lilia]: "What is your purpose in protecting us?"

[Shīndora]: «Just winning the friendship of humans, but it's already too difficult just in this village, I wouldn't even be able to enter»

[Lilia]: "I can help with that"

[Shindora]: «How? If I show up there, I will cause panic»

[Lilia]: "Not if you're my familiar"

[Shindora]: «Familiar? What is it?"

[Lilia]: "That's when a monster becomes a pet, however, the owner and the monster are connected by the spirit. They've known me for years, so they won't bother you."

She opens her purse and takes out five crystals.

[Lilia]: "Choose one of these crystals to be your vessel, whichever you feel more compatible with"

I extend one of my front paws and run it over each crystal without touching them, but I don't feel anything until I reach the last crystal that is apparently calling to me.

[Shindora]: «This one»

[Lilia]: "The white one? But this is one of the rarest and finding a docile monster compatible with it is much more"

[Shindora]: «Then you are very lucky»

[Lilia]: "Incredible. Are you ready for the ritual?"

[Shindora]: «Yes!» Nink!

She then placed the crystal upright, something physically impossible, then her hands on the floor with a magic circle appearing beneath them and the crystal. After a while, a magic circle appears below me, an energy flows from mine, through my eggs and penis to my head, right after feeling a strong energy.

A bright light surrounds me covering my entire body and I start to shatter into particles. Everything goes dark and then it clears, but it's not my vision, it's Lilia's. She takes my receptacle, puts it around her neck with a string and touches it, that way I leave immediately and my body was formed.

[Lilia]: What do you think? Can you understand me?

[Shindora]: Ever since I met her.

[Shindora]: It was a temporary way, an indirect way, but now I don't need it anymore.
