The next day, Bryan was released from the hospital on oxygen and on a diabetic infusion kit via a pump. "Okay, we're going to have to make sure it works, if you feel dizzy before the diabetic pump works, make sure you check your levels," Dr Hayley said. "Not to mention, check how long Bryan can last in between the insulin pumps," Dr O'Connor said. "Gotcha," Jon said. "Might have to give it an upgrade, so it can also check his blood sugar from time to time and if his blood sugar is high, the insulin will be pumped," Nick said. "That's a good idea, but I don't think this pump is meant for that," Dr Mills said. "That's why Nick here can give it an upgrade," Andy said. "The perks of being in the engineering club," Nick said. "Okay, we're done here, you're prescribed oxygen and insulin, make sure what you eat is good for you since you're diabetic and have coeliac and that's all," Dr Hayley said.

"Thank you, Dr Hayley," Bryan said. The Wild Boys soon left the hospital and Bryan finally felt fresh air for the first time. "How does it feel to feel fresh air again?" Kim asked. "It feels good, though I wanna take this thing off to actually breathe it in," Bryan said, pointing at his nasal cannula. "Dr Hayley said you can take it off from time to time if you want to," Jon said. "I'll do it once we reach the bus stop," Bryan said. The Wild Boys headed to the bus stop as Bryan sat down and took off his nasal cannula. He is finally getting regular oxygen after getting supplemental oxygen while he was in the hospital. But it doesn't mean his lungs are no longer slightly weak. Because before the bus arrived, his breathing was getting shallow so he put his nasal cannula back on.

"Just realised how shallow my breathing is without my nasal cannula," Bryan said. "Are you wheezing by any chance?" John asked. "Not really, I just feel like I can't breathe, like I ran a marathon," Bryan said. "That's what we all felt like all the time," Curt said. "Not like that, I didn't need to take an inhaler to keep myself from wheezing," Bryan said. "Really?" Nick asked. The bus then arrived and the Wild Boys are now ready to go home. The bus made various stops around the city before going off to the countryside. "I didn't realise how beautiful it was just looking at the view of the countryside from the bus," Kim said. "The campus shouldn't be far from now," Richard said. The bus then stopped at Basildon Academy as the Wild Boys hopped off.

As they were entering the academy, they were confronted by Morrissey again. "Oh c'mon, you? Again?" Kim questioned. "This time, with me," Axl said. "Do we have to deal with another loser? Again?" Marc asked. "What do you want now?" Paul asked. "Why is the Canadian over there on oxygen?" Morrissey asked. "I won't tell you until you stop putting yourself into people's business," Bryan said, forming lightning with his hands that pushed the bullies away. After that, he became exhausted and collapsed on the grassy area. "Woah, his powers are twice as powerful as before," Curt said. "Are you alright?" Jon asked, taking out the glucose test in order to test Bryan's blood sugar. "I haven't seen you emit lightning this powerful before," Maddy said.

"His blood sugar is high," Jon said before he checked the pump that was attached to Bryan. "Is the pump working?" Nick asked. "No, even though it is on, it's not functioning as it should," Jon said. "I'm pretty sure this pump is for normal human beings, it's supposed to pump out insulin 10 times per day, but an alien hybrid needs more than that," Kate said. "Let's upgrade it then," Nick said. Jon helped Bryan up as the Wild Boys followed Nick to the school building. Just halfway there, Bryan isn't able to walk anymore. "I don't think I can walk anymore," Bryan said, running out of breath. "Let me teleport," Andy said, using his powers to teleport himself and his friends towards the engineering classroom where Mr Tennant was still working. He was surprised when the Wild Boys were in his classroom.

"What are you guys doing here?" Mr Tennant said in shock. "Sorry if we startled you, Mr Tennant, but Nick has a project to do," Andy said. "That's right," Nick said, disconnecting Bryan's pump from the infusion. "Now, let's see what I can do here." "Oh, what happened to Bryan, though?" Mr Tennant asked. "He got diabetes, his symptoms were showing when PE rolled around but then he got worse, he entered the late stages of DKA and went into a coma," Kim explained. "Geez, that sucks," Mr Tennant said. "So, I also need to program the pump as well, to not only inject the insulin but also check your blood sugar before doing so, and it should beep in case your blood sugar is low," Nick said as he started working on the pump.

"He should start making more advanced medical devices at that point," John said. "Yeah, he upgraded my hearing aids as well," Curt said. "I'm starting to see how much Nick has improved, I'm refusing to believe he'll be in upper sixth form soon," Mr Tennant said. "Jim, can you make me a  new circuit board? I need to bring it to the computer lab," Nick said. Jim nodded and used his powers to form a circuit board. "What power is that?" Marc asked. "It's Materialisation, a psychological power where you can create whatever you like out of unknown particles, but the limit is that I can only create small objects like this circuit board," Jim said, upon finishing up the circuit board before giving it to Nick. "Thanks, Jim, Andy, take me to the computer lab," Nick said.

"Wait, why the computer lab?" Andy asked. "I need to program this circuit board," Nick said. "Okay, but let me come with you," Andy said. Nick agreed to let Andy go with him as they both teleported to the computer lab. Once they're there, Nick went up to the computer he frequently used and began working on the circuit board. "So, what are you gonna do?" Andy asked. "I'm gonna connect the circuit board to the PC and start programming it," Nick said as he created a new file. "But that's the most complex programming language ever," Andy said. "I know, that's why I'm the only person in the team who can do it," Nick said as he began typing commands. "Why are you so good? I mean, not only can you beat anyone in Space Invader but you can also code," Andy asked, impressed with Nick's skill.

Nick remained focused with his programming until he's done. "Done," Nick said, saving the file into the circuit and disconnecting it from the computer. "Wow," Andy said. Nick then shut down the computer. "So, mind if we go back to the engineering classroom?" Nick asked. Andy nodded and teleported him and Nick back to the engineering classroom. Nick then placed the circuit board into the diabetic pump and added some finishing touches. "So, what did you write on the code?" Mr Tennant asked. "So I programmed this thing to not only inject the insulin gradually but also check his blood sugar levels all the time on battery power, it should release an alarm whenever his blood sugar is low or if the battery is low," Nick explained. "Wow, you must be thoughtful of Bryan," Mr Tennant said.

Once Nick is finished, he connects the device to the tubing of Bryan's infusion kit and then to the back of his pants. "Okay, now it's time to turn it on," Nick said, turning on the pump. "Hey, it works," Bryan said, upon feeling the insulin into his body. "These things aren't supposed to last long, the cartridge and the cannula should be changed every 2 to 3 days while the batteries should be changed every 2 to 3 weeks or whenever you hear the 'low battery' signal," Nick said. "Got it, thanks Nick," Bryan said. "No problem, just be careful with that thing, and I suggest hiding it under your shirt so that Morrissey won't give you ableist comments," Nick said, reminding Bryan about Morrissey. "Thanks for allowing us to use this classroom for a bit," Curt said.

"No problem, have a good weekend," Mr Tennant said. The Wild Boys then walked back to their dorms. "Hey, I'm glad to be part of this team," Kim said. "Yeah, glad to have another girl here," Maddy said. "Yeah, for a while, it was just me and Maddy," Kate said. "Well, maybe we should add more girls here in this team," Kim said. "That would be a good idea, any suggestions? Maybe someone in our cheer squad?" Kate asked. "I dunno, but we'll see," Kim said. With Kim included in the Wild Boys, they'll always shine. Their adventures will continue from here.
