When memories slip away like grains of sand,
And the past feels like a foreign land,
When faces and places fade from view,
And the person you were feels like someone new. When the stories you once knew so well,
Become lost in a haze you can't dispel,
When every moment feels like a blank page,
And the thought of forgetting fills you with rage. That's when you know you're in the midst,
Of amnesia, impossible to resist.
The world becomes a puzzle you cannot solve,
And the past becomes a mystery you cannot resolve. But know that you are not defined by your past,
And your worth is not tied to what may not last.
Find joy in the moments you can recall,
And know that you're still you, after all.Take it one day at a time, breathe deep,
And don't let the fear of forgetting seep.
Through your mind, like poison in your veins,
For you are still whole, despite what remains. For in the end, your spirit will persist,
And your heart will lead you where memories resist.
Brighter than before, with newfound resilience,
And the power to overcome life's greatest exigences
