My head lolls to the side groggily as I peel my eyes open, loud beeping being the only sound in the room. All I can remember is half way through my performance feeling like my shoulder was on fire and then after I finished I bowed and began walking offstage. And then once reaching offstage immediately feeling dizzy and my shoulder feeling odd, then nothing and now I'm here.

I try to push myself up on my elbows but immediately fall back and hiss from the searing pain, looking at my shoulder it's bandaged up and held in position. My heart rate spikes from the pain and a nurse rushes in after a few moments.

Her eyes widen seeing me awake and trying to move, she says something into the hall before rushing toward me and accessing me. After lying me back down and putting something into my drip iv, probably a sedative, she takes out a clipboard and starts writing a couple things down.

A tall women with mid length blond hair and a white doctors coat walks in with a large smile.

"Ahh she's awake" she beams happily as my heart rate slows down from the sedative.

"What ah- what happened to me, to my shoulder?" I say tiredly.

"After performing at the arts centre and going backstage you apparently collapsed. Paramedics were first on scene and assessed you, deciding to bring you here. Once you got here you were still unconscious and we assessed you, finding out you passed out due to overmedicating on paracetamols due to a earlier severe injury of a separated shoulder.

We immediately got into surgery after your parents allowed to do so. It turns out that the injury to your shoulder was quite severe so I went in microscopically and repaired the torn ligaments. The healing process shouldn't be to long, maybe a couple weeks to months and in your case with physical therapy, you should be able to gain back full mobility." She said as she sat down in the chair beside my bed.

I inhaled a breath shakingly and paused, trying to take in everything she said.

My shoulder was separated.

I overmedicated.

Months of healing.

Wait.

Parents?

Oh my god. Oh my god they're here. They're here in fucking Brussels.

"My adoptive parents are here? They're here now?" I whispered out.

She nodded questionably while her eyebrows furrowed, confused by my worried eyes.

"They hoped to see you as soon as you woke up, I'll send them in" she smiled before standing and leaving the room.

My mind swam with why they were here. They never came before when I was hurt back in New York, I handled it and when I would return they hadn't even noticed anything.

Heels clicking onto the floor brought me out of my thoughts as I turned my head and found Donna and Reed standing at the door, coldly finding my gaze and entering more. They both walked to the side of my bed as I turned my head opposite of them and squeezed my eyes closed trying to avoid the situation.
