Lagos, Nigeria.

Yazeed Malumfashi.

"Good Morning Mama" he kissed her cheek and sat down on one of the chairs in the dining table, Hajiya Amina looked up at her son and smiled, he looked cheerful today, not like he was not any other day, but she could sense something special was going on with him today, he was also the first to come out for breakfast, which was very rare, he was always late.

"Good Morning Babana, You look happy today, any good news?" She couldn't help but comment.

"Well, am i not always happy?"

"You are" She nodded "But, today it's different, have you finally found a daughter in-law for me?"

He quickly looked up, Scanning the area for his dad, if he heard about this then he would definitely not hear the end  of it,
"Mama! Don't let Baba hear you saying that, and no, I'm just in a good mood that's it, Happy now?"

"Just in a good mood, right" She repeated letting out a chuckle.

He shook his head at her behavior and poured himself a cup of his favorite coffee.

"But son, really, I think I've found the perfect match for you, I met her the other day on Mukhtar's dinner, she was so nice! You should've seen her! You would have fallen for her immediately!" She said all in one breath

He was about to say something when he heard footsteps of his father approaching.

"What is the mother and son talking about?" Alhaji Umar walked into the room, a newspaper was in his left hand, while he held his glasses with his right.

"Nothing! Just the normal, Good Morning Baba" Yazeed greeted smiling sheepishly.

Baba looked at him and then back to Mama before answering.

After he sat down he looked up again,
"Now, I'm hundred percent sure there's something I should know going on" he chuckled, the deep sound radiating around the table.

Yazeed could say that he got his good looks from his mother, whom was Shuwa Arab, but he knew that he got his charm and deep voice from his father, complete replica.

"I was just asking your son if he has finally gotten us a daughter in-law" Mama told him, watching Yazeed from the side of her eyes.

"Mama!" He groaned, burying his face in his palms, oh good Lord.

"Well, have you? If yes then tell us about her, we'll go and see her father, it's high time already"

"Baba" He took a deep breath "there's no one"

Baba looked at him for some minutes,
"I don't believe you" He opened of the bottles and poured some water for himself,
"You know the look you have on your face right now? it's the same one I always had when i fell In love with your mother-"

"-Her dreamy eyes, Her gorgeous smile and her whole personality, she was simply the best" He finished with a dramatic sigh,
"Yes Baba, I know"

Baba glared at him through his glasses,
"Whatever dai it's high time you start seeing someone, you're not getting any younger, Matan yanzu basa son tsoho"

"Let's just eat" Mama Laughed.

Yazeed raised an eyebrow,
"Where's Mahmud? I thought he was coming over for breakfast today?"

The couple shared a look, before Mama spoke.
"He's not coming, he's a little busy"

He let out a scoff
"Busy? Too busy to spare even a few hours of his day for his family?"
