I felt my eyes blink, then I blushed, smiling. "Yes." I nodded. I looked up at him, awaiting his reaction. His eyes widened as he pulled his feet up to his chest, covering his face with his hands. I panicked, thinking I had overstepped his boundaries. "I- Um- I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable!" I voiced, hands shaking. He looked up, shaking his head.
"No, no! It's okay I swear! I've just- I'm not good with complements...I do love them though, so thank you." He explained, using his hands to make a dismissal gesture again. He seems to do that a lot. It's cute. I smiled fondly at him, nodding.

When we reached the town center we started brainstorming on ideas where to go shopping first.
"How about we get some drinks to have while we shop?" Sapnap suggested, pointing at a Joe and Juice. I nodded, approving. He smiled and started running. I ran along with him, laughing.

"Okay, anything special you want?" He asked me once we made our inside. I shook my head.
"Anything's fine." Then I had the random thought to take a selfie with him. I pulled my phone out, the lock screen being a black screen.
"Sap?" I said, somewhat nervously. He turned to me. "Um, i- do you- oh god!" I laughed at my own stuttering. I shook my head, trying again. "Do you mind if we take a picture together?" I asked, shadowing my phone. He smiled widely.
"Sure! Mirror selfie? Because if yes, I know that H&M have a big ass mirror that we can use!" I nodded, enthusiastically. He smiled and took our orders, leading the way to the said H&M.

when we made it inside, he pointed at the mentioned mirror. A smile was still plastered onto my face. When we had taken the selfie, I had the urge to change my phone Lock Screen. However, to do that I needed his consent, so I took a deep breath and asked something of him for the second time.
"Hey, is it okay if I make this my Lock Screen? Mine is so boring, and I mean..." I trailed off. He chuckled, red faced again. He grabbed my phone, sent the picture to himself and then added the picture as my Lock Screen for me. Then, did the same for his phone.
"We're matching!" He exclaimed, with a eyes closed smile. My face burned with how red faced I was. I laughed, grabbing my jackets end to slap him with it. He laughed, running away making a mocking face at me. Clearly he wanted me to chase him, so I did.

We ran across streets, laughing and sometimes managing to hit one another with our jackets.
As we did that, I couldn't help but realize how happy I was. How badly I had dreamt of moments like these with him, and here I was, doing exactly that. I swear, my cheekbones are unbreakable if they lasted that long, with that massive smile on my face. When we had settled down, Sapnap handed me back my drink, and we sat there, in the grass, laughing quietly to ourselves.
I felt a few pecks of tears fall down my face. I took a deep breath, the happiness overwhelming me.
"Karl? Karl, are you okay?" Sapnap asked, noticing. I nodded, frantically.
"These are tears of happiness, sap, I promise." I chucked. He smiled at me, leaning against a tree.
"Come here." He gestured to his lap. I stared, confused. "Let me- Is it okay if I hold you?" He asked, nervously. I nodded.
"Obviously, it's just...your haphephobia?" I questioned.
He closed his eyes, still smiling, and nodded.
"You can lay your head on my legs, the rest of your body doesn't have to touch me." He explained.
"Oh, Okay..." I said, still unsure. I did as he said, laying sideways, my head in his lap. He only shifted when I first touched him, but he didn't pull away.
"Your skin isn't touching mine, it's okay, Karl." He reassured me, noticing I still didn't lean in properly. I closed my eyes and got comfortable. I opened my eyes only when I felt as though something was above me. Sapnap was taking a picture of us. I smiled, closing my eyes again. "You better send that to me." I said. I heard him chuckle.
"Well, obviously." Just then I felt a small ding in my pocket, confirming that he had in fact sent it.

I kept thinking about how happy I actually was. I realized that being in love with Sapnap Armstrong was the best thing I could have never done for myself.
