"Are you doing anything fun this weekend?" George asks.
We're still on the drive home, with kordhell and scarlxrd playing quietly but clearly, on the radio.
"No, and I don't plan too." I reply.
"Well, we're hanging out with our friends at Wilburs. Wanna come?" Oh. My. God.
I've always dreamt of being friends with them / hanging out with them so I'd absolutely love too but there's just one problem.
"I'd absolutely love too, but are you sure your friends would be okay with that?" Dream laughs and pulls out his phone. George takes it, opens it, and calls a groupchat call.

The gay ones

Is the display name. Yeah, fair. to my surprise, they all answer.

"Sup, dnf!!" Quackity is the first one I hear. Then comes Wilbur with his;
"Aye how are y'all doing, cyan?"
Dream audibly laughs and George, despite the fact that his friends cant see him, roles his eyes.
Then I hear his voice.
"Jesus. Anyway, what's up?"
Sapnap.
My face goes red at the sound of his voice but luckily they don't seem to notice. Then George speaks up.
"Guys? Didn't your mothers teach you to be polite? You greet everyone, don't you?"
The phone is silent for a minute until Sapnap yells: "KARL?!"
I freeze. How does he know? Do they talk about me? He sounds so happy?
"Oh- I- hi!" I stutter.
"KARLLLL!!!" The three of them yell in unison. I look at George who has the stupidest grin on his face.

"Guys," Dream starts, "would you be okay with Karl joining us at your house tomorrow? Will?"
"Oh yeah, absolutely!" Wilbur says.
"Hell yeah." Quackity confirms.
"Yes. Would you like that, Karl?"

Oh fuck. He is talking to me.

"Y-yeah! Yes please." I whisper, just loud enough for them to hear.
"Wonderful!" Wilbur says. "I'm pretty sure you know where I live?" I shake my head, but remembering that they cant see me I let out a very shaky "no" and bury my face in my hands out of embarrassment.
"Oh! Well I live two houses away from you, actually! The huge brown one to your left!"
"Wait, what? Really?" I laugh. Dream and George laugh along with me. We all exchange a smile.

"Well then, we'll see you tomorrow then, yeah?" Sapnap says.
"Yeah, absolutely! What time?"
"1:20." Wilbur answers.
"Yeah, okay cool! I'll be there!"
"Cya then Jacobs!" Quackity says.
"Mhm!" Wilbur replies, and then quickly adds: "My door will be open, so feel free to just walk in, yeah?"
"Oh, yeah okay!"
"See you tomorrow, Karl." Sapnap says, and hangs up. One by one all 3 are gone. Then, I look up at George, who's still smiling, and laugh.

"I have two main questions."
"Shoot." Dream replies.
"1. Aren't you guys like the tight-we-don't-let-anyone-new-in group? And 2. How come they knew I'd be here? Or more like, why did they even expect me to be here?"
The couple laugh and George answers.
"1. Yes, but you, Niki and Jack have been in the same class as us since kindergarten, Karl. In short, you have seen us at our worst and best since diapers. Of course we're okay with you joining our group, just as much as we're okay with them doing so If they ever decide to.
2. Remember now we knew Kyle takes you home usually? And how Sapnap told us? Well, he had seen that Kyle was waiting for you, and he knew your class had ended quite a while ago, so he asked us to drive to your houses direction just to see if you're okay while he looks for you in the school."
I was speechless for a good 20 minutes.

"What- why what why?"
"Why what?"
"Why would he care enough to go looking for me? Wait does that mean he was still in school when we called him?"
"Yes, and he cares because he had seen you argue with them earlier. He doesn't know why though. What happened there? You don't have to tell us obviously."
I chuckle and smirk.
"Remember when I told you about Amys crush on Wilbur?" George nods.
"Well, she threatened to take advantage of Wilbur to "change him" and I slapped her."
Dream wheezes. That leads to both of us laughing with him.
"As you should!" he adds when he's calmed down. I laugh again.

I'm so excited for this book, oh my god !! :D enjoy guys <3
