"Snowball, what are we doing out here?" Max asked upon seeing the rabbit. He did not look too happy. Neither did Gidget as she stepped forward and added, "Yeah, Maxie and I were about to go on a date when you called." Holding up his paws in self defense, Snowball cried, "Whoa, back off! Sorry guys!"

"I wanna go home already, I'm starving," Duke complained, laying on the soft green grass. Pushing the large dog back up on his feet with quite some effort, Snowball grumbled, "Guys, come on! We have a real emergency on our paws here! There is a poor puppy running around in the park and we've got to find him and bring him home!"

"Well why didn't you say so?! We'll help you find him!" Gidget exclaimed, the earlier frown long gone now. Everyone was now deeply concerned about the missing puppy. Well, almost everyone. Leaning towards Mel and Buddy, Chloe grumbled, "I could be home eating a strawberry shortcake right now."

"But there's a missing puppy," Mel pointed out. Chloe merely rolled her eyes to the sky. Ignoring the cat and her lack of empathy, the pug turned to Buddy. Meeting his gaze, the dachshund remarked, "I hope that little guy is alright. Can you imagine being alone in a place like this? Central Park is huge."

"I would lose my mind," Mel admitted, nodding his head in agreement with his best friend. Clearing his throat to get everyone's attention again, Snowball declared, "That's why it's important we find him as soon as possible. We'll split up into teams. Tiny Dog, Fat Dog and Gidget, you're with me. Chloe, you're with the morons. Sweetpea and Tiberius can be our eyes in the sky. I already have the Flushed Pets combing the streets in case the puppy has left the park."

"Okay, and what group am I in?" Mel asked, tilting his head to the side. Max facepawed while Snowball muttered, "Case in point..." Sighing heavily, the white bunny rabbit clapped his paws together as he stated, "Alrighty boys! And girls. Let's go find Verdad!"

"Who?" everyone asked.

"The puppy."

"Oh."
