Derek found it harder to act normal after that, but it was easier to be in the same place with Stiles if they just didn't talk to each other. Derek was all right with that, but his mind was elsewhere. He had been able to figure out what Stiles had left to do at the tech company and was waiting for the right opportunity to grab what he needed to prove his conclusion about the mole. He felt like an idiot for not seeing it sooner.

"Derek?"

"Hmm?"

"I have to head into the office today. Do you need or want anything before I go?"

Derek thought for a moment and then replied. "Not that I know of. I was thinking however that maybe I could do some organizing and tidying up? I feel a bit useless just lounging around."

Stiles walked into the bedroom and tilted his head. "Sure, I guess. I have been getting a bit careless with things."

Derek realized it was going to work and he looked at Stiles but though his heart tugged at him he was determined because no matter how much he loved Stiles, he had a job to do. "Leave it to me. I'll have it ship shape in no time," he assured him as he looked around the room. If he had been looking at Stiles, he would've seen a flicker of emotion in his eyes, but he wasn't.

"Sounds good. See you later then," he whispered before putting the glamor spell back up and leaving the penthouse.

As soon as the security system beeped Derek got to work on tidying up. Even though he had one goal in mind he didn't want Stiles to suspect his actual motives. So, he cleaned the penthouse top to bottom starting with the bathroom and ending with the bedroom closet where he knew he'd find the pouch. He'd paid attention to detail and had seen Stiles return with a zipped pouch. Inside that pouch had to be the drives his boss had included in his operation brief.

Derek didn't expect it to be easy and the only reason he took the win of finding them in the inside pocket of a suit jacket was because he realized that Stiles trusted him. "Guess we both screwed the other over when it came to trust didn't we?" he muttered to himself as he pocketed the zip pouch. He checked his watch and saw that he had two hours to get out of there.

Derek grabbed the bare minimum and took one last look around the building. It was just his luck that he'd fallen in love with someone who would betray their own country but no matter how much he loved Stiles, his devotion to his country came first. That was what he kept reminding himself of as he took the elevator down to the underground chasm. He followed his nose and slinked away to the other side where there was a small space he could squeeze out of, but only as a cat. He slipped the pouch onto the ledge then shifted before climbing out, shifting back, grabbing the pouch and fleeing.

Jaques grabbed his phone and sent a text before his eyes watched the shifter running.

[Jaques]
Cat is out of the bag.

Derek headed straight to the meeting place his boss had set up and was glad she was waiting for him.

"Special Agent Hale!" she greeted him.

"Ma'am," he replied. He looked around feeling a little uneasy but then met her gaze.

"Was your mission a success?" she asked.

"Yes ma'am," he replied quietly. "I also think we have a mole in the FBI," he stated.

A flicker of something passed over her face but she simply said. "That's a serious accusation to make, Agent. Are you sure about that?"

Derek nodded. "Positive and I know who. I would like permission to address it."
