Jackson sat on the edge of his bed in one of the bunk rooms and breathed out.

"Jackson? Are you listening to me?"

His eyes snapped up. "Hmm? Oh yeah. Sorry Allie."

"What has gotten into you?"

Jackson wiped his hands on his jeans. "I need to talk to the boss. Can we pick this up later?"

Allison fixed him with an inquisitive look but nodded and moved aside.

"Thanks." He gave a quick kiss to her cheek and left the room heading to the office.

Ciekawski Kot curled up on the back of the chair, his tail flicking back and forth while Złośliwy Lis worked when there was a knock on the door.

"Come in, Jackson." Ciekawski Kot hissed, and Złośliwy Lis smirked slightly.

The door opened and Jackson walked in, quickly closing it behind him. "We have a problem."

Złośliwy Lis's eyes snapped up and he looked over at Jackson. Jackson took a seat on the couch and Złośliwy Lis abandoned what he was working on to join him. Ciekawski Kot watched, frowning, and hissed again. Złośliwy Lis glanced at him and flashed his eyes alpha red.

Ciekawski Kot's ears drooped and he looked down.

Złośliwy Lis took a seat across from Jackson. "What happened?"

"Alpha." Jackson leaned forward and Złośliwy Lis met him halfway to lean their foreheads against each other.

"Beta."

Ciekawski Kot watched, both intrigued and confused. The two were silent and stayed still for what felt like forever.

When they parted, Jackson bared his neck and Złośliwy Lis nuzzled his pulse point with his nose. Jackson let out a soft whine and then nuzzled against Złośliwy Lis's chest relaxing when Złośliwy Lis's arms wrapped around him. "I know. I'll take care of it. I promise. You and Allie go get things settled. Looks like we'll have to move forward sooner than I thought."

"What are you going to do?"

"That's for me to know and you not to worry about. Go." Złośliwy Lis put his hand on Jackson's neck, and they rested their foreheads together for another minute before parting.

Jackson left the room and Złośliwy Lis breathed out before getting up and looking at Ciekawski Kot. "I need to take care of something. I know I said 24/7, but I need you to leave the office."

Ciekawski Kot frowned again and hopped onto the desk before sitting and curling his tail around him.

"Please? Just...Just trust me."

Ciekawski Kot huffed and hopped down going over to the door.

Złośliwy Lis let out a relieved sigh and opened the door. "Don't go far. Please."

Ciekawski Kot flicked his tail and left the office, heading to the food room. Allison had given him bacon before and that sounded really good.

"Hey, baby." Malia smiled at Złośliwy Lis as he leaned against the doorway of his office. "I don't see why you keep that cat around. You have me and I purr so much better."

"Mhm. Well, I was thinking about what you said. Did you still want to play?"

"Mmm. I do." She put her hands on his chest and nipped at his jawline.
