Hardik's pov:
I've to go for the IPL camp tomorrow, and here I am....gathering courage to tell My parents about aashika. Not like I'm scared, but still.
It's 7 In the morning and everyone in the Pandya household is wide awake and ready for breakfast.
Pankhuri: So, Harry packing done?
"Well yeah pankhs just thodi last minute cheezein baaki hain" I said
And krunal said, "Oh bhai, teri last minute packing humesha late karvati hai. You better keep everything after finishing the food"
"Yes MOM." I replied. After mom and dad had settled for the breakfast, I decided to drop the bomb.
I cleared my throat and started, "pappa, ek chokri che, aashika....mare eni saathe lagan karva che... I really love her. Me ene kidhu che ke e madva aave ahiya ghare after the ipl"
(Dad, there's a girl Aashika....I want to marry her. I really love her and I've invited her to meet y'all after the ipl.)
And as I expected, krunal very dramatically dropped the spoon in his plate and shrieked, "Tujhe shaadi Karni Hai???"
These guys I tell you. I've been surrounded by lunatics all around me.
"Haan yaar, karni hai. I really love Aashi dad...atleast meet her once na" I said to dad, ignoring krunal.
Mom said "We've to meet her once. I'm not agreeing to you. But I think we should meet Aashika once, nai pankhu?"
And guess what everybody agreed. So yeah, after ipl, things are going to be official.
After I was done with packing, I called aashika and discussed everything with her. Well of course she was kinda nervous but I cheered her up.
*Next day*
*Rohit's pov*
"Is everything done guys??" I asked to no one particular in the house. My brother-in-law has come here to bid us farewell. On the day of our leave.
"Ro, this should be my question to you" said ritika. Sometimes I wish I could just strangle her to death for taunting me all the time.
But what to do.
We reached the team hotel and all the formalities of introducing new players, giving them jerseys etc started.
Not gonna lie, Mumbai Indians feels like my second home. I'm just so happy by being here. Plus seeing Sammy bond with the other children over here and also ritika makes me so happy and contended.
I called Virat after reaching the hotel, well i don't wanna admit but I miss that monkey.
"Heyy vi....kya chal raha hau bro" I said.
"hi BRO...sab thik chal raha hai, par tu aise kyu baat kar raha hai BRO" He said stressing the word bro..
"Bas cool banne ke liye" I said. "I hope btw bhai ki tune kal raat ko confirmation ke liye kriti ko phone nahi kiya hoga" I teased him. Call me an idiot but I love to see both of them together. Plus I feel so happy for my Virat. He deserves the best.
"Nahi yaar aise kon karta hai....pagal. I didn't call her obviously. Accha chal I'll hang up now mujhe practice ke liye jana hai. And all the best for your game defending champion"
Saying so he hung up the call.
*Rahul's pov*
We've just reached the hotel and it obviously feels good to be back here. I was listening to some song on my phone with my headphones on when I accidently bumped into someone.
I immediately removed my headphones and said "I'm so sorry I wasn't looking. Let me hel..." When I was cut off.
"Abbey gadhe dekh ke toh chalo atleast"
It was a girl....her back right now visible to me, her hair all open. Small jhumkas adorned her ears while she was busy taking her files from the ground.
"Aaj kal toh help karne ki bhi tameez nahi hai logon mein" She murmured. And I realised that even my phone had fallen down.
"Here....omggg is that you Rahul. How long has it been my love????" She said.
What the hell is she speaking? Dramatic af.
"Well, I'd love to chat with you but I'm kinda getting late for some work. Catch you later" And with that, she left.
And me.....I just kept looking at her. Aafat.
'Yes but aafat pyaari hai na' My conscience mocked.
'Sonakshi is my friend.' 'Just. A. Friend.' Saying so I shut my mind up.
But what is she doing here???
I was looking for her around the lobby when I finally found her room open. I knocked and she let me in.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her directly. "Someone's following me isn't it?"
"In your dreams mister. I never follow guys. They come behind me" She said sassily flipping her hair.
"Well, long story short, I quit my job from that magazine. Aur yahan vacancy thi so I applied but I never thought ki idhar ho jaayega"
"So now you're saying that you are the official photographer of our team?" I asked her. Can't believe it.
"Yes yes yes. Mr kl I am." She squealed happ8ly and I couldn't resist and ended up hugging her tightly.
"I'm really happy for you sona....congrats and I welcome you to the team as the captain" I said clearing my throat.
"Ahh thank you Captain Well, Rahul I'll have to leave. Abhi team shoot hai na...so see you tomorrow" She said.
"Hey, catch"
She said abruptly and I turned when a pair of keys came my way and I couldn't catch it. It went above my head, and on the bed.
"What the- aise Kaun karta hai bhai" I said.
"Kya keeper banoge tum yaar....ek kaam Karo, kal se fielding aur keeping ki practice zyaada karna." She said.
"Aap bhul rahi hain Ms. Dixit ki aap coach nahi photographer hain" I said And locked the room and proceeded for the jersey distribution.

That's it for today....I know this is a small chapter but I'll make it up for y'all in the next one.
Also, I've been going through a major writer's block...but I'm finally back.
