I returned back to my seat at the table in the dinning hall with a huge smile on my face. My dads face returned back to the stern looks it always had. My mom was still loudly speaking to Claire and Jj looked liked he wanted run out of the club, but right when a sat down his mood shifted. "Hey Kie!"
I put my hand on his shoulder and let it fall down as I sat down in my seat. "Hi Jayj." A worker came over and began setting out plates and glasses in front of us.
"Uh- hi Kie?" He seemed confused by my unusual amount happiness when being around my family. The fear that once consumed my thoughts were no where to be found now and I finally had the freedom to do as I pleased around Jj. I wasn't going to get cocky though. Although Jj isn't at risk of being kicked out now that can always change.
I leaned closer to Jj while keeping my eye on my parents who were completely oblivious. "My dad knows."
Jj jumped back in his seat nearly knocking himself over. "WHAT!?" My mom and dad both turned and looked at him perplexed. "W-what? I love the beach t-too!" Jj badly lied. My parents rotated their bodies back to the person they were speaking with. "Sorry."
I rolled my eyes. "Yup it's fine." I rubbed my eyes with my palm and sighed. "My dad doesn't seem to care but, my mom lied to me and she told him everything." I knew I should've never told my mom about anything. I should've just told her that I had fallen asleep when Jj was taking a hair clip out and he would've felt bad if he moved.
"So what your telling me is your mom told your dad and he's known all this time so, we've been hiding it from your dad even though he already knew?" I nodded and he groaned. "Does your mom know that your dad told you?"
"I'm not sure. I hope he didn't so then we'll be able hold her lying to my dad over her head for a while." A waiter came over with a big glass of water and filled me and JJ's glass. I took a sip and cleared my throat. "Also, we should probably tell the group about this when we seen them again."
Jj nodded and many waiters and waitresses came from the kitchen with plates of food. In the club you never get to order your own food. You are given the food of the night and you either eat it or you don't. I always found it dumb but my parents loved the surprise of not knowing what your going to get. "Hey kie. Do you think your parents would be mad if I- I don't know.. like kissed you or something."
"Jj. I have no clue and why would you do that if we are literally trying to keep a secret from my mom." Sometimes i incision JJ's brain to be a hamster on a wheel running. Sometimes the hamster gets tired and stops running which powers off his brain. The hamster has stopped running in this exact moment.
"Oh yeah. Right. My bad." I couldn't help but laugh at his stupidity. Tonight the club was serving lobster and mashed potatoes. This was one of my favorite dishes when coming to the club. As the night went on I listened to my mom talk to my dad and everyone else in the club. I would've talked to Jj but anytime I glanced or looked over to him my mom would glare at us. I felt as if I was being watched at every second.
I felt bad for Jj because he has to just sit in silence the whole night because my parents would never go out of their way to talk to him. "Hey mom when can we leave? No offense to your rich club life but this is extremely boring."
My mom whipped her head around and furiously and focused in on me. My mom hated when I said anything mean about things she got our family into. She always says that I should be more grateful because she worked hard to get to where she is today. "Kiara I can't believe the way you act sometimes." My mom grabbed her purse and began shuffling her stuff around. She pulled out her car keys and tossed them to me from across the table. I caught them and sat there in confusion. "Leave. Go. Me and your dad won't be back at the house till around 2am so you have about 5 and a half hours. We'll call a Uber. Go run off with you pogue buddies."
And quickly jumped out of my seat and grabbed JJ's arm and pulled him up out of his seat. "Don't do anything stupid! I know what your thinking-". Before my dad could finish me and Jj were running down the halls to the front doors. We ran out the front door as we stayed through people who were just now arriving. We ran up to my parents car and I got in the front seat and started the car. Jj got into the passenger seat and I began driving off into the road. The club was located a few streets away from my house.
The sun had already set and the sounds of crickets filled the air like every other night. Dark grey clouds covered the sky and rain began pouring down behind the car as if it was cashing us. "Kie." JJ's voice sounded like a whisper. I tilted my head slightly toward him while still keeping my eyes on the road. "Kie since your dad and mom both know does that mean I won't get kicked out hopefully any time soon?"
"Probably." I replied. "Just as long as we don't do anything stupid... well do anything stupid and get caught. Which you most likely will do." I could he he chuckle a bit. He leaned his head on the side of the window and looked out.
"Sometimes I wonder where my dad is right now. Maybe he's drunk on someone floor or maybe he's stranded somewhere because he spent all his money on alcohol." He sighed and I stared at him in disbelief from what he had just said.
"Jj. Wh- what the fuck." He broke out into laughter and I was still taken aback by him comment. I knew Jj cared about his dad.. a little bit but for just a split second I thought he was actually upset. "Why do you say stupid things all the time?"
I turned down the street to my house. "I don't know. Sometimes things just come to my mind and I just say them." He shrugged. "Speaking of random things now that you've kissed all the guys in the group who do you think was the best?"
"I'm not doing this again." I pulled into the driveway and turned off the car. He laughed as he unbuckled his seat belt and opened his side of the cars door.
"We'll personally I think I was the best because.. well I had the best scenery and the moment was better. Had a whole audience too." I opened my side of the cars door and got out. I rolled my eyes at his stupid comment and began walking up the steps to the porch. "Also I have the build up."
"Jayj. Please. Be quiet." I took the keys to the house out my pocket and unlocked the door. As we both stepped in a heavy downpour of rain came downstairs down. The sound of the water hitting the roof carried throughout the whole house. I loved the sound of rain. It was so calming. I went through the house and up the stairs to my room. I walked into my room and began taking off the jewelry that I had been wearing. I saw Jj go into his room and begin taking off the suit he hated wearing throughout the night.
I tried grabbing the zipper to the back of my dress but failed so I gave up. The dress was very uncomfortable and I didn't want to have to sit in it for several hours. I looked into the hall to see if JJ's door was closed which it was. I groaned to myself and tried getting to the zipper again but failed for a second time. "Jayj!" I called out to him.
"Yeah?" I ran my hand through my hair and pulled out the hair ties that were holding up my bun and put the hair tie on my wrist.
"Can you help me get my dress off?" He was silent for a minute before a loud think and clank came from the room and loud thunking on the doorknob as he tried getting a grasp on it. His door flung open and he had no shirt on. He swiftly made him way into my room and stood in the doorway with a wide smile on his face.
"Sorry I couldn't get my shirt back on... I was kinda in the middle of changing." He moved out of my doorway and came next to me. I just nodded as I tried to contain myself and the thoughts that were racing through my head and turned my back to him. I could feel his body closer to mine. His hands took my hair and pushed it onto my shoulders. His hands ran down my neck and to the zipper. He grasped it and held it in his finger. He kept it in his finger and I closed my eyes and brought my chin to my chest.
"Jayj?"
"Oh yeah sorry." He pulled the zipper down and I put my hands on my chest to catch the dress from falling down. The dresses straps fell down my arms and Jj took his hands off the zipper. His arms fell to his sides and he didn't take his eyes off of me. "I'll go.. now." He hastily left my room and went back to his and closed the door. If I was being honest I didn't want him to leave. I pushed my door closed and changed out of the dress. I pulled on some sweatpants and a old shirt.
I laid down on my bed and rubbed my eyes. I looked over at my door that was closed and thought of Jj. The moment with the dress and when he didn't pull the zipper down. Did he not want to pull it down? Was he scared? Thoughts like those flooded my mind but came to a pause when a knock came from the other side of my door.
