I stared at him with expanded eyes.  What just happened? I was certain that my legs were shaking, because my balance wasn’t the best. Before anything could possibly happen, someone called out my name. I gave Kenma one last glance before running towards the calling voice. On the way I almost fell over someone pretending to be dead. I eventually found Alisa at the exit.

“Kuroo told me that I should take you home. He will take care of the rest. And Kenma of course.” Alisa emphasised his name making me blush to the core.

I didn’t say anything so Alisa spoke again, “Where were you?”

“Oh. I was in a corner somewhere. Alone.” I quickly said.

Alisa gave me a look full of suspicion, but didn’t say anything further.

About 15 minutes after I arrived at Kenma’s house, he also came home. I was busy making coffee and sat at the kitchen counter. When I saw him every cell in my body tensed and I froze in place. He just greeted me casually and said goodnight before going to his room. In conclusion, he was acting as if nothing happened.

I laid in bed with a busy mind. After hourly minutes of tossing and turning, I finally decided to call for advice. The ringing of my phone echoed in my room for a few seconds before Kuroo answered.

“Hello?”

“Hey, sorry did I wake you up? ” I asked instantly feeling guilty.

“No, not at all.”

“What are you doing at 2am in the morning, Kuroo?”

“Gaming. Anyways, why are you not sleeping?” Kuroo cooed.

I sighed before answering, “Can I come over? I need advice. And yes it’s urgent.”

“Sure, see you in a sec.”

I took a jacket just incase and walked down the stairs as quietly as possible. There was no wind and the sky was open revealing the sugar flickers. Kuroo was already at his door when I arrived. We both laughed at each other’s sloppy wardrobe and our tired faces. I leaned against his kitchen counter while he was busy making hot chocolate. He turned around after turning on the kettle.

“So, what’s so urgent that you need to see me this early in the morning?” He crossed his arms and displayed a smirk on his face.

“Well,” I played with my braided hair, “I’m in love with Kenma.”

Kuroo poured the boiling water into the cups, “Tell me something I don’t know.”

“Okay then,” I walked towards him and stirred the chocolate drink, “ Something happened tonight…At the festival… In the haunted house.”

“Oh? And what’s that? You two held hands?” Kuroo teased and motioned towards the living room.

We took a comfortable seat on the black leather couch.

“No. We kissed.” I said stealing his smirk.

Kuroo almost choked on his hot chocolate, “Are you sure? You didn’t imagine it, did you?”

I slapped his arm, “No! I’m not stupid like you.”

Kuroo squinted his eyes and raised a brow, “Why am I suddenly stupid?”

I sighed and placed my cup on the table, “When I came to this world, I was head over heels for you.”

Kuroo’s eyes expanded in shock, “What?”

I laughed, “Wow! Are you really that dense? But yeah. It was my biggest non-realistic dream… To meet you.”

Kuroo also put his cup down and sat more straight, “Why didn’t you say anything earlier?”

“Bruh, you were dating Alisa. It was hard for me to see you with someone else in the beginning. But later on, it got easier and eventually my feelings faded away, because I saw how happy she made you. Then, ironically, I fell for Kenma.”

It was quiet for about a minute before Kuroo spoke, “So you guys kissed? So, how was it?”

I crossed my arms with a playful annoyed face, “Not that it’s any of your business, it was unworldly.”

“I never knew Kenma had a romantic side. It’s unlike him.” Kuroo said more serious.

“Yeah… But I don’t know what to do, he’s acting as if the kiss never happened.”

The rooster folded his arms and looked deep in thought before speaking, “Well, the kiss couldn’t have been a sloppy mistake. Kenma already told me a few weeks ago that he likes you.”

After hearing him say that, I sat up straight instantly, “Really? What did you tell him?”

Kuroo smiled at my reaction, “I told him to make a move. But I didn’t mean kiss you and ignore you afterwards.” He paused before continuing, “Maybe he needs time to process what he did?”

I wiped my hands over my face in frustration, “I hate this. I hate not knowing where I stand with people.”

After a disappointing sigh, Kuroo stood up and took our cups to the sink, “Kenma better not fuck this up.”

I followed him and tilted my head to the side, “Why?”

Kuroo leaned back against the sink, “Because anyone would be lucky to have you.”

I blinked, processing what he said, and then flipped my hair, “I know right.”

We shared a laugh before I spoke again, “Thank you, Kuroo.”

He just gifted me a warm smile.

“Who’s this?” A voice said behind me.

Turning around I saw a young female with long, messy black hair. The hairstyle was awfully similar to Kuroo’s.

The stranger walked towards me with a grin, “Your new girlfriend?”

“No!”  Kuroo and I answered in sync. The female threw her hands in defeat.

“This is my older sister, Emica. Sis, this is Y/n, L/n.” Kuroo introduced us to ease my confusion.

Emica put and arm around my neck and I realized that she was almost Kuroo’s height, “Nice to meet you, cutie.”

I smiled shyly, “Uh, same here.”

Emica laughed out of her throat before walking towards the kettle, “So what are you two doing at this time in the morning?” I was sure that that specific smirk ran through this family’s veins.

“We’re talking about Y/n ‘s love life.” Kuroo casually said and I smacked his arm.

“Oh? With who?” Emica dropped a spoon in her cup and ran towards me.

“Uhm…Kenma.” I answered hesitantly with my cheeks burning.

The woman blinked before cupping her face with her hands, “Aww that’s so adorable.”

“Why so I feel like a child?” I sighed.

Kuroo shrugged, “Because you are.”

I pointed a finger at him, “Watch it, hyena.”
