Khushi's POV

I enter Mr. Agarwaal's room, well our room now but still. I'm scared

What if we do it tonight? Is it big? Do I want to do it?

My mind was whirling with questions but I went to the bathroom and changed. Taking out all these hairpins is a nightmare itself.

After changing, I noticed that there were two glasses of milk. I drank one and then drank the other because I couldn't resist. Mr. Agarwaal was still not here and I was already really tired.

So I grabbed a pillow and blanket and slept on the couch. I don't like to use someone else's things without permission. Besides I've slept on worse things so it's not a big deal right ?

I'm out as soon as my head hits the pillow.

(A/N is it just me that can't sleep at night but will sleep any other time?)

In the morning

"No, Please let me go"

"No please no"

"Please"

"Let me go"

I wake up instantly, breathing heavily. Looking around, I see nothing out of place. I let out a sigh and got off the couch.

We haven't had a nightmare like this in a while

It's 6 in the morning, so I decided to get ready. I'm still debating if I should wear a saree or just my normal clothes.

I ended up wearing a saree because I look gorgeous in it. But to be fair I look amazing in everything I wear.

By the time it was 7.30 I made my way downstairs. Yes I know I take ages to get ready but you can't blame me for planning my arguments in the shower.

I go to the kitchen and see Lakshmi ma'am and Arjun's grandmother Sarika ma'am.

Lakshmi ma'am smiles at me and says "arey wah hamari bahu rani toh bahut achi lag rahi hai"

(Wow, our daughter in law looks very good)

"Aaj itni jaldi kaise uth gayi. Arjun ne raat ko thakaya nahi kya?" Sarika ma'am asks

(Why are you up so early? Didn't Arjun tire you out?)

"Pati parmeshwar pehle kamre main to aye, tabhi toh puri raat uthe rahange sarika ma'am"

(husband dearest would have to come to our room first, only then we can stay up all night)

"First things first, stop calling us ma'am, I am your dadi (grandmother) and Lakshmi is your maa (mother), now arjun tumhare saath nahi tha?"

"Nahi (no)"

"Abhi breakfast ke liye aayga to uski daat lagati hoon"Maa said

(I'll scold him when he comes for breakfast)

"Breakfast se yaad aaya, ki aaj to rasm puri karni hai, to batao bahu rani kya banaogi"

(Breakfast reminds, today we had to complete the tradition, so tell me daughter in law what are you going to make)

"Aap batao ki aap logo ko kya pasand hai khane me"

(you tell me, what do you like to eat)

"Hum log sab khate hain, lekin aaj mera parathe(indian flatbread)aur bread pakore (fried stuffed bread) khane ka man kar rahe hain aur phir sweet dish me kheer (rice pudding) bana de"

(we eat everything but i feel like eating paratha and bread pakora today and for sweet dish you can make kheer)

I quickly get to work and make breakfast, by the time I finish everyone is sitting in the dining room.

I set the food on the table and the servants started serving it. Thankfully, everyone liked it, even Mr. Agarwaal. He didn't say it out loud but I could tell

"Khana bahut badiya bana hai beta"Arjun's grandfather Viraj sir said.

"Thank you sir-"

"Dadu (grandfather), mujhe dadu bulana aur Laksh ko papa (father). You are a part of our family now."dadu interrupted me.

(dadu, call me dadu and laksh papa)

I just smile at them.

Mr. Agarwaal stood up abruptly and said"I have to go to office today and i'll come late"

Then he left. Just like that.
