Khushi's POV

Back at the house

Well chal khushi kaam apne aap toh hone nahi wala

(come on khushi the work won't get done by itself)

I make my way back home and change to go to office

I go downstairs and see maa, Jai and Veer bhaiya.

They see me and maa asks"kaha jaa rahe ho, kal hi toh shaadi hui hai"

(where are you going, you just got married yesterday)

"Office me resignation dene jaa rahi hoon, kal se inke saath kaam karna shuru karungi"

(i'm going to give my resignation letter, i'll work in his office from tomorrow onwards)

"Theek hai theek hai" Maa says and leaves me with veer and jai bhaiya

(okay, okay)

"Kya baat hai bhabi, arjun bhaiya ke saath kam karne ke liye resign kar rahe ho"

(wow sister-in-law, you're resigning just to work with arjun)

"I'm not resigning, that was just a lie so maa doesn't know about the threats"

"Ohhhhhh"

"anyways , i better go, i'm already late"

"Haan haan pati dev ko lunch jo dena that"Veer bhaiya teases me again

(yeah, yeah, you had to give your husband lunch right)

I just scoff and walk out only saying bye to Jai bhaiya

Time skip to her office

I finally reached an hour later. Indian traffic is something else.

I go into the building and straight to Kabir sir's cabin.

"Can I have all the files on the Agarwaal's please" I say barging in

"Aao , aao, bina good afternoon kare chale jao"Kabir sir replies

(Come, and then go without saying good afternoon)

I roll my eyes and wish him good afternoon while grabbing all the files.

"How is it living with the Agarwaals?"

"It's all right, they are a nice family"

"Ok and what about Arjun?"

"He's also fine I guess" Yeah he's mighty fine

"Just fine?"

"Just fine"

I say bye to him and make my way to my desk.

I start with the first file and start making notes.

I'm the only one in the office now and am still looking at the files, when my phone rings.
