It's almost been 2 weeks since Papa texted me, and it's been weeks since I've been avoiding talking to them. As much as I want to talk to Papa, replying to him would give him a chance to slip Mama into the conversation. Kaya puro short replies lang nabibigay ko which makes me feel so bad. But then I remember, Papa clearly said to take your time. Ugh! I don't know how much longer I have to do this!

I'm getting tired of hiding in books and making studying an excuse for me to ghost my own parents but they leave me no choice. Whenever we would talk, it ends with my dad getting in the middle of my mom and me trying to stop the commotion.

"Alam mo hindi ko na mahulaan what you're upto these days." Biglang sabi ni Ynnia habang umuupo siya sa tabing upuan ko. I sighed..

"What? I'm just doing advanced readings of the lessons.." I tried to make up an excuse.

"Ahh.. Kasama na pala sa pag advance reading iwasan ang sariling best friend?" Mapangasar niyang sabi that made me roll my eyes and I continued to focus on the notes I was reading from our biochem class.

"Oh! Tignan mo 'yan! 'Ni hindi ka gumawa ng excuse.. So iniiwasan mo nga!" Patuloy na pangungulit niya. God! So nosy! Good for her I consider her a friend, if it weren't for that my patience would wear off easily. She's the only friend I have in college, well aside from Jai and Louie who I don't see around.

"Hindi nga ako umiiwas, okay?!" She looked at me with her bored eyes, "Seriously. I'm just thinking about something." I reasoned out. I wasn't lying naman, there are things that I think about. Way too many if you ask me.

I heard her heave a sigh.

"Alam mo, go talk to someone about those things... I hate to see you drown yourself in imaginary deadlines. Tsaka isa pa, wag mo naman iwasan bff mo."

I frowned at her.

"Ugh! How many times do I have to tell you na hindi nga ako umiiwas.." Hindi ko nga iniiwasan, we talk, in fact, we went to the movies about a week ago. Hindi ko na lang sinabi because she always put colors in small things.

"Okay, fine! 'Di mo lang kasi nakikita how his smile vanish pag tumatango ka lang sakanya whenever nakakasalubong natin sa caf." She had a pout plastered on her face, maybe pitying Jai because that guy smiles a lot and it's weird for her to see him that way. I just gave her a questioning look and she shrugged.

We heard our prof for social psych come into the room. I instantly took out a notebook and a pen and shifted my attention to the discussion.

The day went on, and Ynnia and I decided to eat something when our class ended. We have a short break and we have one last class to attend.

We were walking with coffee in our hands when Nia nudged me, pouting towards something— someone rather.

"Ano ba?" I rolled my eye, di pa din kasi siya tumitigil.

"Diba si Louie, yun?" She excitedly said, parang ewan akala ko naman kung ano.

Both of us looked in Louie's direction. Nakaupo siya magisa sa tahimik na side ng cafeteria, maybe it's his break too, but instead of eating he was out here studying. Ugali niya naman yan.

His brows were furrowed and his glasses were slipping down on the bridge of his nose as he was reading intensely. I just shook my head... Ganto din ba ako sa tingin ng iba?

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Mag-hi ka then introduce me please, please!" Pangungulit niya sakin.

"Akala ko ba you don't like him, bat bigla ka nanaman nag gaganyan?" I said in pure confusion.
