To say I'm in a difficult situation is an understatement. Everything was smooth sailing aside from my personal problem. It was the same as it always is.
My academics are good, nothing new, busy na din lalo na kakatapos lang ng finals namin. One more semester and we're off to fourth year, grabe ang bilis! My parents are unusually quiet. Papa's daily calls are consistent, and Mama on the other hand messages me once in a while about updates regarding the PhiLSAT. Buti nga hindi ko nakikita si Aelius dahil hindi ko alam kung ano ang kaya kong gawin, natatakot ako para sa sarili ko.
But it's not helping na araw araw kong kasama si Ynnia! Akala ko she would drop the topic and act as if hindi ako nag open up sakanya, but it turns out, even if we're both busy with our finals week, di pa din nakalimutan ni Ynnia.
"Ugh! Right minus wrong! What a great ender!" I was greeted by Ynnia's scrunched face, kakatapos lang ng last exam namin sa Social Psych.
Nakinig lang ako sakanya dahil sobrang dami niyang rant. May love and hate relationship ata si Ynnia sa Social Pysch, pag lectures she's really absorbed ngayon ayaw niya na daw, di na daw siya tutuloy sa pag dodoktor. It was all driven by emotions, Ynnia is passionate about her dreams, she wouldn't actually do it.
"Let's just wait for the result, the two of us know you did your best," I gave her a small smile, bigla naman siyang umakay sa braso ko.
"You did great too, Liberty! I'm already so proud of you." She returned a genuine smile then pinched my cheeks.
I glared at her and before I could even complain she was already apologizing.
"Sorry! Wag ka magagalit, please!" Nag peace sign pa siya, "Tara na, we deserve a good lunch!" I didn't bother retaliating and was dragged by Ynnia somewhere.
We– she rather decided that we eat at the place down the street near the campus, I always see this pag napapadaan but I haven't been here dahil I always bring packed lunch, siguro nakasanayan since my mom always tells me that I needed to be healthy to achieve many things.
Umupo na kami at nag tingin ng oorderin, it all looked good. Hindi ako makapag decide agad, mukhang laging nandito si Ynnia kaya naman I asked for her suggestion and went with what she said.
"How did you know this place?" I asked after the ate took our order. I was looking around, it wasn't that big of a place but it was clean and had a beautiful interior that mainly centers in street style, understood dahil we ordered tapsilog and pares.
She was busily typing something on her phone but she looked up and placed it down, "Hmm, napadaan lang ako dito tapos wala masyado tao," She paused, "Kaya dito ako halos palagi, plus their service is really fast." She wiggled her eyebrows at me.
Nag uusap lang kami tungkol sa exam, she was telling me na feeling niya daw this semester ay wala na siya sa dean's list. Nag by-bye pa siya sa akin, iiwan niya na daw ako dun mag isa. I just rolled my eyes at her, sasabihin ko sana sakanya na hindi yun mangyayare dahil she was smartand passionate about this but didn't get the chance to, because true to her words mabilis nga ang service dahil nandito na agad yung inorder namin.
I should take Jai here, I thought to myself. Ayaw nun nag hihintay ng matagal, eh.
When everything was set, I immediately dig in dahil nakakagutom pala mag exam, I saw Ynnia took a quick picture of me, loko talaga. She just grinned at me at sinabayan na ko kumain.
"So what's up?" Out of a sudden Ynnia questioned me, anong what's up, eh lagi naman kaming magkasama. I raised my eyebrow at her, I'm still chewing my food, and I couldn't reply to her.
