A Clato love story

Chapter 14

The two weeks of training pass and it's the night before the games begin
As me and Cato cuddle in bed together I look at him and say "I'm scared..."
Cato looks at me lovingly and says
"I won't let anyone hurt you..no one okay clover"
We wake up and my helpers pull me away from Cato and out of bed then take me to my room and dress me for the games Cato yells as he sees me get pulled away "Clove!" He yells
I didn't even get to say good morning or goodbye to Cato...I guess I'll see him in the arena
I say goodbye to my stylist and I get into the tube that takes me to the arena I look at the cornucopia and look for Cato
The famous countdown starts and before I know it we're down to the last 10 seconds
"10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1" I run and get a backpack and throw knives too two girls and a boy
Two of them from 12 one from 3 all dead
Suddenly a girl from 6 runs to me I throw a knife at her stomach and somehow she's still running then Cato puts a sword through her heart
I hug him "thanks" i say then I pull away from him and say "let's go to the woods
We both run with Zach and Sasha behind us
The games have begun
We all make a camp and tell each other how many kills we got
"I got three I say pretty good for the first day 2 from 12 1 from 3"
"Me and Sasha got 1 each from 7" Zach says kinda disappointed in himself
"It's the first day Zach don't beat yourself up about it" i say trying to comfort him
"I got three same as you clover the girl from six a guy from 8 and a guy from 5" 
Ok so 12s tribute is out 7s are out too and 8,5,6,and 3 are alone
I snuggle with Cato and Zach glares at him
"Have a problem?" Cato shouts at Zach
"No problem, I'll take the first watch Sasha you can go to sleep" Zach says in defense
Cato goes to sleep and Sasha is asleep too I then sneak to Zach
"Hey.." I greet him surprised it's already night
"Hi Cato is really protective over you.. dude he scares me so much" he says chuckling
"Trust me he's not that scary once you get to know him" I say with a smile then my smile fades a Zach looks me in the eyes knowing he will never be able to get to know Cato
"Sorry" I apologize
"No it's fine I knew I was gonna die here but I was picked to volunteer in my academy so.."
"Did you know Sasha before you came here" I ask
"Yes we are close friends I like her but I don't think she likes me it hurt when I say her flirting with Cato.."
"Yea it hurt me too but I bet it wasn't nearly as much pain as you felt" I say sympathetically
Cato then comes to the fire we were sitting next to
"Hey babe are you ok?" I ask
"I woke up and you weren't there so I looked around for you" he says while he sits and gestures me to sit on his lap
I come and sit and snuggle into his chest
"Ok well I'm going to go to sleep y'all can take this shift right?" Zach asks while he goes to his sleeping bag
"Mhm" I reply simply
Cato suddenly makes me face him
"What we're you two talking about I heard laughing that's what woke me up" he says in a jealous tone
"Don't worry we were talking about how he likes Sasha and we both got jealous when you two were flirting"
"Both hm" Cato smirks at the thought of me being jealous
