A Clato love story

Chapter 16

Cloves POV

It's been two days since Sasha's death I am heartbroken and I'm not the only one. Zach won't eat  or drink unless me or Cato force him too...I feel bad for him they were just getting somewhere with their relationship! Just thinking about it makes me mad I wish I had made that blonde bitches death a more painful one. I'm now about 2 months into pregnancy and Cato is so protective.

Cato and I are walking through the forest Zach behind us he's been a little slow recently as he hasn't eaten or drank anything at all for the past day.
Cato suddenly whispers to me "Zach is becoming a set back I know he's our ally but hes becoming a burden" he sounds sad about this him and Zach are friends too we should have never gotten attached to our ally's it just makes their death so hard...
I nod my head and whisper "I guess he has been kind of a burden but I don't want to have to kill him and I don't think you would want to either"

We walk some more but at a point I stop hearing Zach's footsteps behind us I quickly turn around to see a spear going through his stomach he takes it out and falls to the ground.
I look at him in horror and knife the boy who through it in the head and hear his canon go off
"Zach!" I yell while sitting next to him
"You two have to win" he says with tears flowing out of his eyes.

"Zach...I'm sorry" I say while crying
"I can finally be with Sasha again" he says with his last breath
And I hear his canon go off
"No..." I feel like I'm losing my mind my two friends are now gone i guess I just have to be grateful that I still have Cato and the baby.

Me and Cato leave Zach's lifeless body I think back to when both of them were alive and fight the urge to cry. Every now and then Cato puts his hand on my stomach to make sure it's ok.
We hear a canon go off and see that a tribute from district 3 has died.
"Announcement! The rule for one victor has been...suspended. There may now be two victors if they originate in the same district. May the odds be ever in you favor."
I jump into Catos arms "Cato were the last pair we could go home!" I exclaim
Cato is crying tears of joy "I will get to see my child" he says with happy tears in his eyes
We hang out for a little while and killed a 17 year old from district 7
That only leaves 4 of us me and Cato that smart girl from district 5 and that big guy, thresh from district 11

We wait it out for a few days and hear a canon when we look to the sky we see that smart girl from district 5 that only leaves thresh

"Attention tributes!! Since we are generous hosts we will be having a feast tomorrow at the cornucopia. May the odds be ever in your favor
I needed new knives I was down to three I'm sure there are some in the bag me and Cato devise a plan he will stay guard and I will get the backpack quickly

When I get there I grab the bag and am met with thresh. My group killed his ally so I'm sure he isn't happy. "A career alone.." I try to run but he takes me and holds me by my shirt "this is justice" he said
"Cato!! Cato!!"
"Clove!!" I hear him coming and I don't know if he'll make it in time
Thresh slams me into the ground one time and a canon goes off..
