Chapter 3

Mystic Grill: Elena PoV

Sitting in the booth with Caroline and Bonnie after my run-in with Jenna this morning, I can't help but vent about the situation. "So basically I'm sitting in the kitchen, and out of nowhere I hear this super loud car pulling up outside and after a few minutes aunt Jenna stumbled in through the front door" Caroline looks both intrigued, and suspiciously calm considering we know aunt Jenna left here last night with Alexandra.

"Come on, then what?" Care asks me impatiently. "I ask her if she had a good time, and then she gets all flustered about it and tells me she did. When I told her we go to school with her, she freaked out and started questioning the whole thing after basically having agreed to date her." Care looks wide-eyed at the information, and even Bonnie looks surprised at the revelation. "Yep, before letting Jenna accept her proposal, she basically told Jenna that she's polyamorous and can love multiple people at the same time." Caroline stares intently at me, as if looking for any falsehood. "You're telling me that I still have a shot with her?!"

Seeing Care wiggle around happily and excited about this whole situation, was not what I expected. And judging by the way Bonnie looks at Care like she grew a second head, she definitely feels the same way. "Care, are you sick?" Bonnie asks with mock concern. "Of course I'm not. Normally I'd be super pissed off and jealous of Jenna, but after our moment at the bonfire I just can't find it in myself to care. It's just... Like there's something drawing me to her." Seeing her feel this excited is infectious, and I can't help but smile at her.

"The weirdest thing about the whole thing, was definitely aunt Jenna even encouraging me to try and get together with her. She looked me in the eye and said she wouldn't mind it, who does that? And does it make me a bad niece because I actually considered it?" Bonnie looked at me with sympathy, while Caroline was looking at me deep in thought. "I don't think it makes you bad per say. It's pretty obvious that she has a way of drawing people to her, hell all three of us feel it. And don't try to lie Bonnie, we all know you feel the same way." Bonnie looks at Care with surprise, but quickly turns her face away from us in embarrassment.

Looking at both of us, Caroline seems to be thinking pretty hard about the situation. "I mean, would it be so wrong if we all pursued her? She admitted to Jenna that she dates multiple women, and while it might be awkward for a bit I feel like it could actually work out. Isn't it better than some of us being left out with how we all feel drawn to her?" Bonnie chuckles in surprise, and I can't help but feel surprised as well at Care's maturity and lack of jealousy.

"We all joke about my gram being a witch and how unlikely that is, yet here Caroline Forbes is proposing that we romantically and sexually share a girl as if it's the most obvious thing. Pigs are truly flying." We all share a laugh at the irony of the situation, but deep down I can't help but agree with Caroline. I feel drawn to her in a way I've never felt before, and while we haven't talked together much, something about her puts me at ease. "Well, I'm in. I'm tired of letting life go by, ever since the accident that's all I've done. As long as we all agree to not make it weird, then I'm fine with it." Bonnie hums for a moment, but nods along with me. "Is the situation more weird than my Grams? Absolutely. But as much as I try to act otherwise, it's clear we all feel some sort of way about her. So it's worth a try isn't it?"

Caroline nods her head so fast I'm worried it might fall off, but after a moment her face gets more serious. Looking towards me, it's clear this new conversation is going to be about me. "What about your Stefan situation? Is he still following you around like a lost puppy?" Letting out a deep sigh, I drop my head into my hands. "He is yeah, like he isn't picking up on the clue that I'm not interested at all." Caroline looks at me with a flat face, clearly not amused by the situation.

"Just turn him down, it isn't hard Elena. If he doesn't get the clue after that, then I really don't know what's wrong with him." Nodding my head along with her to show I agree. Getting up from my seat, I grab my things to get ready to go. "Where are you going?" The surprise of me suddenly getting up shows on Bonnie's face. "Caroline's right. It is easy. I'll go there right now, and give him a piece of my mind. He can't keep following me around like this. If he wants to be friends then that's fine, but he needs to know I'm not interested." Caroline let out a melodic laugh at my statement. "Go and turn him down tiger, I know you can do it!" Giving both of them a smile, I start to leave the grill.

Mystic Falls Square: Alexandra PoV

Arriving at the square shows me how excited everyone is to see the comet, but for someone as old as me it just never made sense to be excited about something like that. Using my enhanced hearing to try and find some of the girls, I hear the distinct voice of Bonnie handing out fliers. With my hands in my pockets, and my aviators on I walk over to the two of them.

"Well, if it isn't two of Charlie's three angels. Where's the last one?" They turn towards me with smiles, Elena with an obvious blush coating her cheeks. "I'm sure she's here somewhere, she tends to keep herself busy when it comes to social events." Giving them a small nod with a smirk. We engage in general smalltalk for a while, but it doesn't take long before they have to keep going with their fliers. Looking up at the sky above me where the comet will soon pass, I can't help but frown.

I feel like something bad is going to happen tonight, and while I doubt it's linked to the comet itself, it's giving me a bad feeling. It doesn't help that Damon is still running around and playing games, and if he keeps doing that I'll have to be more forceful with him next time.

This one was a short one, but I don't really want to force Alexandra into events where she doesn't need to be, and writing each and every scene for Elena that she has in the show will inevitably end up making the book far more focused on her than any other characters. So hope this chapter wasn't awful, despite not being too long.
