Sommers-Gilbert residence: Alexandra PoV
Standing in front of the Sommers-Gilbert home, I smirk to myself as I overhear Jenna and Elena talking about some guy named Logan. It's obvious he didn't treat Jenna right, something I plan to rectify. Pressing the doorbell, I can hear Elena walk towards the door. Her face is filled with surprise when she sees me. "Hey there luv, does Jenna happen to be around?" Where I expected to see some degree of jealousy, I instead see her blushing deeply instead. Probably related to the conversation they had when I dropped Jenna off. "Unless you'd rather have yourself occupy my time. I wouldn't mind either way"
The cute clearing of her throat immediately painted a smirk on my face. "No, no. Jenna's here. Let me get her for you" Looking at her retreating form I can't help but admire the view, but I'm pulled out of my enjoyment by Jenna appearing in the door frame with a raised eyebrow, clearly having seen me checking out her niece. "Hey there luv, don't you look beautiful today" Gently grabbing her hand, I pull her towards me while giving her a twirl on the way. Her giggle changes my smirk into a small genuine smile as I look down at her, and I can't help myself when that smile grows as she looks up at me in awe with a smile of her own.
"You didn't think I forgot about you, did you? It would wound me right here" Pointing on the left side of my chest with a face of mock hurt, causing her to laugh. I have to hold back the satisfied rumble in my chest, since she isn't aware of what I am yet. "Of course I didn't. It would be hard to, considering the night and morning you gave me" She proves the statement by getting up on her tippy toes, planting a small kiss on my lips. Now to seal the deal. "Since the town will be occupied tomorrow night with the Founder's Party, I was wondering if I could lure you out of those commitments by taking you out for dinner?" The shy smile and slight blush on her cheeks gives me the answer I'm looking for.
"Of course. I would love that" My smile morphs into a satisfied smirk. "Then I'll be here at 7 to pick you up" Leaning down, I pull her into a slow and gentle kiss. "As good as kissing you feels, I'll unfortunately have to go and talk to Elena. I have some school stuff to talk with her about" The way her shy smile changes into a small smirk tells me that she doesn't believe me one bit, but she still steps aside to let me in anyways. "I'll let you get to it then"
Walking up the stairs, I can hear Elena moving around in her room. Giving a small knock on the door, I wait to go in until she permits me to. "Come in!" Her voice is muffled by the door, but I still hear her clearly. Opening her door, I see her sitting by her desk looking at me curiously. "I heard about what happened the other night, and just wanted to see how you're holding up" Looking at her I immediately recognize the necklace she's wearing, as being the one Rebekah used to wear when I first met the original siblings. She told me it belonged to her mother, the original witch, prior to her death, so how in the flying fuck did it end up here with Elena?
"I'm feeling okay all things considered, and I'm just glad they caught the mountain lion responsible for the recent deaths" Her smile is small but genuine, showing that she appreciated my concern. "Mind if I ask how you got that necklace?" I try to school my face into one of curiosity, but the feeling of frustration about this new development is slowly building up in my chest. "Oh, the necklace? Stefan gave it to me, saying something about good luck" Ahh, so Stefan was in possession of the necklace. That does explain some things. "Mind if I get a look at it?" Her eyes widen a bit, but she goes to unlatch the necklace. "Here, feel free. He said it contains some sort of herb, which is why it smells the way it does" Holding the necklace in my hand I allow my magic to flow into the jewellery, creating a perfect duplicate in my hand while I feel the original showing up in the back pocket of my pants.
Allowing Elena to keep the original wouldn't be safe, and I can only assume that Stefan had no clue where he got the necklace from. Otherwise he wouldn't take the risk of giving it to her. "It's beautiful, I'll give Stefan that much" While I keep my usual smirk on my face as I hand her the necklace back, there's definitely a part of me that's getting irritated by the vampire. I'm not a jealous lover, and as it currently is I can't even say I'm her lover just yet. But something about Stefan screams insincerity. Lucas's research on the doppelganger shows that Kat came through Mystic Falls sometime during the civil war, and was in fact the one to sire the Salvatore brothers. So even if his interest in Elena has turned sincere, it was an interest born out of an interest in Kat herself not in Elena.
