Night Conversation and Decision

Bondita closed the door and entered the room where she saw her husband laying the mattress on the floor.

"Huhh... What a tiring day it was! Finally we can live with some peace...." Bondita said with a smile.

"I am sorry for today Bondita"

"You are still saying that?! How many times do I have to tell you that it wasn't your fault at all?!! Are you silly Anirudh?? I have already stopped thinking about it!"

"But, you were troubled. I wanted today's day to be the most memorable day of your life, yet...."

"Weren't you troubled too? And, why are you talking like everything has fallen apart?" Bondita said as she grabbed Anirudh's hands, "See! I am holding you, you are infront of me, we are together alone here! What else do you need? I am really happy now as you are with me! So stop thinking about that!".

A smile appeared on Anirudh's face after which he leaned towards her and kissed her cheek. Bondita widened her eyes and her cheeks got red.

"Bondita, luckily tomorrow is a holiday, so we can meet Kaka and your parents tomorrow. We will also order some furnitures on our way." said Anirudh as he slightly closed the window.

"Yes..." Bondita replied as she shyly touched her cheek.

"Listen, as we have only this mattress you should sleep on it this night. I will sleep on the floor."

"Why?!! Why not with me?!!"

"You are tired Bondita, so you should comfortably sleep on it. Don't worry, I will be okay"

"Noo!! You have to sleep with me!!! I won't let you sleep on the floor!!! It's quite cold this night and you can catch cold pretty easily!!"

"I won't, I am not that weak"

"You will!! Don't underestimate it!!"

"But, you might feel uncomfortable......"

"I will only feel comfortable while sleeping with you!!!" Bondita argued back to which Anirudh stood quiet. He covered his mouth and turned around.

Bewildered by Anirudh's sudden reaction Bondita approached him and held his hand to see his face red. She began to smirk and said, "Oh my~ What a red face! You are that embarassed?"

"D-Don't look!"

"Why? It makes me tease you more~ I am excited just like you, okay?" Bondita said with a grin to which Anirudh frowned a bit.

"But, should we sleep together?"

"Why are you asking this?"

"Today is Kal ratri. We shouldn't even see each other's face to day but we have already done opposite of that."

"No need to bother about that. Even if we don't do this I am still going to live with you forever. You don't have to waste your energy thinking about this. Let's sleep together!" Anirudh said with a serious look as he held Bondita's hands. Bondita began to smile and nodded her head.

She washed her slight make up and slowly pulled out the bangles off her hands. Anirudh gently pulled out pins out of hair and kept her necklace aside.

"You don't need to help me with this...."

"But I want to. It was paining your head a bit, right? This necklace is quite heavy! You should have bought a lighter one!"

"It's okay, I wanted to look beautiful for you today"

"Well, you always look beautiful to me"

"Really?"

"Hmm" Anirudh agreed to which Bondita laughed.

Bihari slowly walked towards Trilochan carrying his newspaper,

"What happened Bihari?" Trilochan asked as he opened his newspaper.

"Bade Malik, Anirudh Babu and his wife have come to meet you" Bihari said to which Trilochan lowered his newspaper. He saw Anirudh standing and holding Bondita's hand. He sighed and said, "Bihari, tell them to leave"

"I am not going if you won't listen to me" Anirudh replied.

"What's even left to hear? Wasn't your yelling enough yesterday? Also-" Trilochan said coldly.

"I want you to accept Bondita" Anirudh replied nonchalantly.

"Hey! I didn't finish talking yet!" Trilochan yelled.

"I don't understand where you see the problem. Bondita is a very good person to begin with. She is clever and strong willed. She also has her own job. She will be able to help you efficiently. Why can't you accept her? She is even ready to consider you as her family. What is holding you back?!" Anirudh questioned Trilochan while Bondita blushed.

"That's the problem! Women like her are egoistic!! They often try to control their husbands and I don't want the same thing to happen with you!! It's better if you break your marriage with her!!"

"Kaka Sasurji! If women work outside and turn egoistic shouldn't we say the same about men? I have met many men who are really egoistic just because they are rich and Anirudh is an exception here. You shouldn't be biased here. And I promise, I married Anirudh not to control him but to live with him forever. So, I will never break my marriage with him!" Bondita stood her ground.

Trilochan glared towards her and said, "How dare you talk back to me like this?! And stop calling him by his name!! Wives don't call their husband by their names!!"

"But I love his name! Such a beautiful name he has! I want to call him by his name forever too!" Bondita replied enthusiastically as she grabbed Anirudh's arm. Anirudh looked towards her and blushed a bit.

"Argh! This woman is so stubborn! Then prove your worth to me! I don't allow anyone to easily become a Roy Choudhary!" 

"Bondita doesn't need to prove herself to you! Why should she?! Just because she doesn't meet your expectations doesn't mean she has to bind herself according to you! She is the best just like the way she is. Don't force your opinion on others like this Kaka! If you can't accept her then I won't stay here too! I will live with Bondita!" Anirudh said sternly as he firmly held Bondita's hand. He walked towards his room with her, packed his clothes and other necessary things in a suitcase and walked outside the haveli.

Bondita glanced towards his face with a smile and thought, "I am really glad that I married this man. I want to take care of him forever. Though he should make up with his uncle too...."
