Bondita yawned a bit as she walked away from the court.

"Anirudh has some extra work there.... Why are the cool winds blowing? They are really making me sleepy......" She said while slightly covering her mouth.

"..... it's her, right? Isn't she too carefree??....I mean that zamindar....." She heard someone saying in a low voice. She looked back to see two ladies staring towards her and whispering to each other.

"It's still going on, huh? Gossips spread really quickly. Yesterday I heard them saying that I was cheating on my husband, and now they are complaining about me being carefree.... These people just don't have anything else to do....." She thought as she chuckled to herself. She quietly walked, maintaining a cold expression.

"I just don't want Anirudh to hear them. He is very quick to react to things like this. He will unnecessarily stress regarding this and just deteriorate his own health." She thought.

"Trilochan Da, I am hearing weird rumours about Anirudh. Now, what that impulsive son of mine did this time?" Binoy asked with a heavy sigh.

"He married a girl without asking us." Trilochan replied, sipping his ginger tea.

"What?! When?! What type of girl he married?!"

"An educated woman who is a lawyer just like him. I seriously don't get his taste in women!" Trilochan replied bitterly.

"Well, it's nice to have a woman like that. She can help us with a variety of problems. She must be really smart to receive that position."

"Like Father like Son! Both of you are affected by foreign culture!! You are already an Englishman, and now you are aiming to turn Anirudh just like you?!! I am worried about Anirudh's reputation! People will seriously mock him!" Trilochan said with a frown.

"Da, don't overthink things. Everything will be alright."

"You are unusually optimistic! I can't stop myself from getting worried......" Trilochan said as he kept his tea down. He got up from the sofa, took hold of his cane stick and stomped away with frustration.

Bondita changed into her another saree and tied her long silky hair into a small bun. She heard the doorbell ringing and quickly went to open the door.

"I was wondering why you were taking so much time.....What happened?!" Bondita said, twisting her brows. She saw her husband sighing and holding his head.

"My head, is just paining.... I will be fine....." He said in a low voice as he walked inside.

"You seem stressed nowadays. What's bothering you?" Bondita asked him. She took hold of his arm and pulled him towards the sofa.

"I said I am fine..... I....I....." Anirudh stammered a bit, his lips trembling and his eyes getting watery. He sniffed a bit as tears reached down his cheeks. Bondita sadly watched him for sometime and pushed his face against herself, keeping her head on his.

"You were keeping everything to yourself and didn't even tell me anything. I hate it when you hide things from me!" said Bondita as she frowned a bit.

"I...I am not good for....you Bwondita! Everyone is badmouthing you because of me! I failed to be your husband......" Anirudh said as he sniffed.

"You are being silly again. You don't have to worry about me that much. Your Bondita isn't some weakling who would get crushed that easily. Even you know that those people are fools. You don't have to think about them. And, failed to be my husband? That's the funniest thing I have ever heard! Don't think too much!" Bondita replied, laughing to his words.

"...But I am not even able to spend much time with you....." Anirudh replied as he calmed down a bit.

"Our lives have become so hectic that we can only spend our time together at night. You don't have to blame yourself for that. The nights we spend together is really enough for me. After so many hours of work, I always look forward to our night. The only time when I can get very close to you...... So, instead of having those thoughts why don't you look forward to our night just like me? Anirudh?" Bondita said softly, slowly pulling herself away from him.

She gazed towards his swollen red eyes and messy hair. She pressed her lips on his cheek and then near his eyes, gazing towards his face, looking deep into his eyes.

Anirudh felt his heart calming down gradually, hearing the silence around him. His fingers touched her warm cheek, making him smile again. He felt himself getting pulled towards her as their eyes remained still.

"Anirudh......"

"Hmm?"

"Why don't we make a change to our routine tomorrow? Maybe, we can lower our stress a bit?" Bondita asked as she shyly looked away.

"Sure, we will go wherever you want to go." Anirudh replied with a soft smile, still gazing towards her.

"Can we go to a place now? I know where to go!" Bondita asked him curiously.

"Oh, let's go then! For a change....." said Anirudh.

Their feet touched the soft grass as they held their shoes. They took in the air of the wet soil, their hair wavering with the breeze.

"This place used to be my secret spot whenever I was upset with my mother and sister. It hasn't changed a bit." She said with a soft smile.

"Oh right, when I was looking for you I found you lying there. It was such a hardwork! Your sister was really worried for you! Such adorable child you were~" Anirudh said with a chuckle, teasing her a bit.

"Huh! Says the one who was crying like a child sometime ago! You are a child who behaves like an adult!" Bondita replied as she pouted.

"Are you irritated?" Anirudh teased her again.

"Of course not! I am not a child anymore!" Bondita replied to which Anirudh laughed.
